  7. Thats cool because it was one of the most impressive of all time for its raw power and QPF
  8. Probably close, the valley probably mixed, but the hills as you approach Foster probably got smoked. I see the gradient all the time, Moosup downtown (the 3 stores lol) is at like 250 feet but rises quickly to 650 in the surrounding hills, Foster is about 3 miles from me at around 675, in between is Sterling which is at 715 thats about 3/4 mile from me, so there are some great gradients. for Scooter: my full/new moon fetish with superstorms yea it was a full moon.
  9. I was a volunteer with NWS/state of RI Climatologist doing ground truthing for the then infancy Doppler so I had a lot of their equipment, they told me then even their rain totals were off due to the wind, like a TS hard to capture. obviously the COOPs who received all snow were able to melt cores and get good readings.
  10. The coast got smoked by wind and waves too, man that storm was ferocious, a weenie drive 20 minute from the coast to Foster and I witnessed an insane gradient. The coast did get a decent ULL backside dumping and flash freeze too, but the damage was extensive.
  11. Storrs and West Thompson over 4, ORH total is way low, lots of 5's and 6's everywhere
  12. crazy at North Foster 1992-12-11 37 32 34.5 2.5 30 0 3.58 3.2 3 1992-12-12 34 27 30.5 -1.2 34 0 2.00 20.0 21
  13. OK I will find it, going to go to the Westerly library and search the Westerly Sun Archives
  14. extreme Artic cold with a 10 mile per hour wind. I am not making it up, believe me. I just can't remember the exact date. If I can I will find it. And I was joking with you before.
  15. Look it up. John Ghiorse stated on the 6 news. While we all enjoyed a sunny day Westerly had its own private snow storm. Rt1 was were the most fell with a dramatic cut-off in Potter Hill, I wish I could remember the exact date
