Maybe we can make Saturday at lease useable up north?

Maybe we can sneak to mid-60s while down south is mid-40s?

One of the studies also compared the frequency of adverse reactions after the first dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine in 231 people who had either previously tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, or never been exposed to it. It found that symptoms such as pain or swelling at the injection site were similar in both groups of patients, but whole-body reactions, such as fatigue, headache, chills, fever, and muscle or joint pains, were more frequently reported by those who had recovered from COVID-19.

This fits with data from the ZOE COVID Symptom Study, which encourages participants to log their daily symptoms via a smartphone app, and has more than four million contributors globally. It found that people who have had a previous COVID-19 infection were almost twice as likely to experience one or more mild, whole-body reactions from a dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, compared to those who hadn't previously tested positive.

I never had it or was exposed that I know of, but damn, that thing knocked me on my ass. Who knows.

  3. The second dose of Moderna totally destroyed me. Fever, aches, chills, headache, nausea. Didn't even crawl out of bed until noon the day after. I have friends the same age as me who had little to no reaction. I don't understand what causes such different reactions between similar people.

Nothing wrong with making an informed choice. No one begrudges you for making a choice. I can tell you from the "refuser" side of the debate, none of us care if you get the jab. Feel free. It's wonderful and a remarkable achievement that such an effective vaccine has been made available so fast. Just don't mandate your choice for everyone else, is all we ask.

And on the other side I could not care less whether or not you get it. I don't understand the intense finger pointing that goes on now. It's not even if you're not with me you're against me. It's if you're not with me you're a POS. I hate it.

  5. Number of cases doesn't track with the number of hospitalizations or deaths anymore now that so many vulnerable people are vaccinated so the raw case count is becoming less important every day.

And I promise you every unvaccinated person agrees with you. There seems to be a weird belief that we are the people still clinging to masks, restrictions, and fear.

At least this state has been on the more reasonable end of the spectrum the whole time. I go south of the border and still see people walking their dogs on a beautiful day, nobody within 500 feet of them, with a mask on. Blows my mind.

Then they will never open, because we will never get to 70-80 percent of people vaccinated at this rate.

A constant state of fear, worry, and anxiety is the real "new normal". At least in this part of the country. Enough is enough, it's time to open up. Having had both shots, I feel like I'm cosplaying as a weirdo every time I have to wear a mask now. There's no need for it.
