Agree and yes, there will be a lot more model runs to go before it is all sorted out, but I'm just as excited today about the possibilities as I was a month ago

As crappy as the icon has been, it has still made steps towards the gfs with the energy dropping into the plains being west of the 06z run

FWIW the nam has now closed off the energy coming down into the plains on this run, taking a step towards the gfs.

06z gfs is a pretty nasty ice storm for some

The 06z euro is making more baby steps towards the gfs and now it's only slightly north (and now closed off) to match the closed off energy in the plains the gfs had.
