Welcome! Question for you: what do weather enthusiasts in Hawaii get excited about locally? Guessing wind/wave events in the winter and trade wind/tropical wave interactions producing flooding in the summer.
Hey, there is snow in Hawaii

All of a sudden, I feel like I live next to a great lake. My place has had measureable snow for 5 out of the last 8 days and a trace on Thursday.
@NWSBoulder
Most areas along and west of I-25 have had 1-2" of snow and have slushy roads. Snow will decrease north of Denver by 11 PM, with 1/2 inch per hour snowfall continuing from Denver south and west, decreasing in those areas in the early morning hours. #cowx
Funny, I was just thinking this same thing yesterday. This has been a good series of almost daily modest snows and reminds me of my years in Chardon, OH where February was consistently like this once Erie mostly froze over and the really big dumps cut off. Big dumps are fun every once in a while, but I'll take a long series of manageable snows any day.

This looks nice for the foothills. And of course, I will be in LA all week

Denver, Fort Collins, Greeley.
Well, the great thing about the northern front range is that regardless of the weather down below you can always drive up to RMNP and visit a ton of snow.

I’m headed to your area to see some family right after Christmas. I’m hoping there’s a storm during that time!
Define area a bit more. Mountains may see some on Christmas eve and day, plains looks pretty dry.

We picked up about 4" on Saturday, which is 4" more than I expected.

From a Larimer County Emergency Services text today with county snow totals:
S: Winter Weather Update 11/26/2019 11:07am Winter Storm Update 11/26/2019 11am - Latest radar shows that the current storm system should be moving out of Larimer County in the next hour or so. Road crews are working to catch up in all cities and the county. Big snow in western parts of Larimer with Red Feather and Stove Prairie winning the award with 32" of snow.

Where does this rank for you, personally and/or for Estes Park?
I live in unincorporated Larimer northeast of Estes, along CR43. My personal is 41" on May 19th 2017. I have heard of a 53" storm in November 2013...before I moved here. I have lived in 2 snow belts in the great lakes region - Northwest Indiana and Chardon, OH. So, I have seen some much larger snows. One in particular while driving in NW Indiana on I-80 thru a 4" per hour snow squall. That is scary stuff.
In Estes there is a lack of historical climatology records, so not much to compare.

Measuring here is a futile endeavor because of drifts everywhere. There is a Cocorahs report from this morning of 29" very near to my house, which feels right so I'll go with that

Current Front Range totals, taken between 6-8am:
Lyons - 23.2"
Boulder - 20.5"
Louisville - 16"
Estes Park - 16"
Loveland - 14.5"
Evergreen - 13.2"
Wheat Ridge - 11.6"
Lakewood - 11"
Broomfield - 10.8"
Longmont - 10.5"
Westminster - 10"
Englewood - 9.5"Can't find anything from Fort Collins. Someone SE of Estes Park reported 31.7" at a pretty high elevation.
That 31.7" came from near Pinewood which is on the Boulder/Larimer border. They got slammed all night long there.
-
Yeah on the Lyons to Loveland. I am hearing that Pinewood Springs west of Lyons is a whiteout. Hwy 36 closed until some plows can get in.
-
Coming down pretty good up here northeast of EP. Nearly 3" so far over about 2.5 hours. So far so good on ratios as the flake size is good.
-
NWS has a narrow stripe of 33" (high end amounts) just into the foothills of Larimer basically on a Drake to Mishawaka line.
-
Snow ratios are going to be important tonight. What is the current thinking on that? I saw NWS discussion of 15:1 +, but that was a day or so ago...

I had about 3" on elevated surfaces and 2.5" on the ground. I reported 2.5" to the NWS last night and that seems the most reasonable. It continued to snow after 10:00PM last night, but obviously not much accumulated.
On to round two!
Round two looks to be much more productive down your way. Up here we underachieved, despite steady snow all day I ended up at 7". This is about half of what I was expecting, but I'll take it

A meh event up here, with maybe 2 inches. Sunday looks more interesting in my part of the foothills. Curious to hear how Conifer Mtn Man did on last night's snow.
Regardless, the mountains seem to be off to the races again this year so far.

I will say that TWC did a great job yesterday (I had not watched their programming in my years). The Bryan Norcross/Greg Forbes team were very informative and hopefully this positive trend will continue from that organization.
Agreed, and they went commercial free for a very long time. Great job TWC. Thank you for not airing the "weather for the wedding" or some other bs. Bad, bad, bad - Fox and CNN.

Polarbear - you need to be in the mountains to hit all of these temp/snowfall criteria. Given the time constraints you listed, Evergreen/Conifer area may be best. For the snowfall you are looking for, maybe Bailey?
