  1. X rays from St. John's hospital found 70 miles away as per CNN article
  2. On one of the networks (TWC?) Al Roker was at the hospital site and was saying he talked to a nurse who was on the 6th floor. They had been told a twister might be there in 15-20 minutes and it arrived in less than 5 minutes. Seemed to surprise people. Awful awful scenes. Can't believe this year.
  3. I can't get it to load... I get an error... I will figure it out.
  4. MLK seems to give us snow pretty often (or bitter cold) Good skiing other than the crowds
  5. Here is part 2 of the MLK 2009 dual event
  6. 2/23-24 of 2010 gave this area a foot - 14" of snow then turned to rain... instant cement. The pic is from 1/18/2009 Part of a medium 1-2 punch
  7. Wonder if I snapped a shear pin with that one LOL (hence the shovel standing, mocking me in the cement!)
  8. Yeah, looks like 6" on 1/18 and 3 or 4" on the 19... I never knew how to find these before. Very neat. LOL at the Feb 25-27 2010 totals near Pete
  9. Looks like i was on the 6" line from the old PNS map... I learned something new!!!
  10. Sadly, the 14 inches went down the drain mostly (we ended up with about 6-8" after the rain) Somehow I had 76" overall...but those were the best 2 events
  11. A couple of nuisance storms from Feb 2010 14" and 10.5" respectively
  12. I def remember T-day 1989 Brought my roommate from the United Arab Emirates to my family's Thanksgiving Dinner in the snow. Good event
  13. On a sad note, Dan moved to the M.A. and became a warminista.... Poor Dan
  14. Do you guys keep a personal weather journal (like a paper one)? The data online is good, but the personal recollections are harder to quantify, Man, I wish we had digital cameras when I was a kid, or even before 2005 in my case...
  15. I liked Phil's description of the air being sucked out of his lungs.
  16. Oh I know that... How long was the Cape under the gun with that? I wish I got to experience that monster. I have been lucky enough to remember some doozies: Dec 2008, Dec 1992 (in Lowell - not the best, but...), March '01, Thanksgiving '89, Feb '78, etc etc etc. Wish I was old enough and living here in Feb '69... The tales some of the folks around here about 1969 were truly La Epic
  17. I didn't bother to watch much. Did they say where they were?
  18. When I was in 2nd grade, we did a pretend WCVB News thing in my classroom. Guess who was the weatherman? I made a map and pointed at stuff... what a loozer
  19. Thanks Will. That was one of my favorite events from the last 5 years or so...
  20. Any good pics of the Dec 2007 event that hit around rush hour in the Boston area, creating the commute from hell? Thanks for the radar link Ginxy
  21. Beautiful drifts... I hope we get lots of these this year
