And May 1977 had the scrumptious snowfall in SNE
I don't know if there is any correlation between that and the heatwave... longer spacing between the snow and heat than this season
Maybe a more amplified whiplash?
The sun popped out for around 1 minute yesterday around 6PM for us...then it hid behind its cold veil again. Rain continues.
45.4F at home...rain Nailed it
One way in which it was memorable was that I was running a field trip to Canobie Lake Park. We kept postponing it due to the cold, wet wx. I have never had to move a trip that many times before. I think we rescheduled it 4 or 5 times.
What a wheel of misfortune as progged on the major guidance.
Is there a way to see monthly suicide rates for Boston/etc?
Personally, I am fine with it being cool and gray until mid June( for work purposes), but I'm not in control of that.
Yup. The 2013 event was pretty amazing for even the picnic tables.
One reason I'm thinking that October might be stranger is the ocean in May is still pretty cold, while in October, Ginxy is still bodysurfing
Was the early 2000s (I always forget) May snow event (2004? 2002?) mostly during evening hours?
I have early memories of May 1977 at my parent's house in Foxboro with snow during the day. I think they even released us early from school Kevin would have been in heaven with all of the limbs and trees coming down.
I have wondered which was more anomalous - May 1977 or October 2011. I'm leaning towards October.

Cold pool nearby/overhead next week is definitely impressive. Still feel like peaks at the least will see snowflakes.
It could also be a tale of two Mays...1st half a noose worthy setup of misery, then a snap back to early summer. Those happen now and again. In the meantime, there is a good sale on rope at the home despot
Lol. 24' above ground. This is the first spring we have had it and I will have the pros reassemble the filter system and chlorinator this year. Going forward I plan on doing it myself
We used to use collapsible pools when the kids were younger, but those were a pita.
Next project is to build a deck for the pool
I don't mind later in spring... from, say Mother's Day on...maybe Memorial Day
Mid May tends to have a lit of bugs, so that is a non win, but otherwise it's ok
