  1. Hoping for the Tip “first it gets warm, then it gets cold Boom” occurrence
  2. It’s practically April. Waiting for the first Tip talking about his nape post
  3. Nice conditions in central Mass at Wachusett. Skied there Tuesday for a bit to test out the knee, then last night which was a bit icy, and then for a couple of hours this morning. Very good set of runs before the crowds built up. Heading to Loon Jan4. Haven’t been there in 20+ years for skiing
  4. Yeah. That’s what we were discussing. S VT I think fared better in the early Dec storms. Snowmaking has helped a ton. New systems making a huge difference.
  5. I despise that movie. So clunky. I love old Christmas movies but not that one.
  6. We were riding the lift this morning with a guy who was at Mt Snow and Loon the last couple of days. He said they are in decent shape Wachusett is in amazing shape. 6-8” OTG in my yard. Snow covered since Dec 1
  7. He’s hating on the Patriots. Hating on ORH. I hope the Christmas spirit finds its way to S Weymouth
  8. It can. For example, in the 2008 ice storm the higher parts of the city were getting croaked while downtown it just rained.
  9. Seems ok to me. What stations are you comparing it to?
  10. They have internet. Just crappy slow stuff. The state doesn’t install stuff but they can create grants. That’s how Princeton got it after decades. That town is pretty $$$ compared to mine but we have had broadband since we moved here in 1998 (I think). My wife’s school does really well despite having Commodore 64 level internet. Lol
  11. Mass is 19th in overall tax burden. Middle third. Lots of warts but not as bad as others.
  12. If there was a 100% iron clad guarantee that gas tax $ would only be put towards fixing roads and transit people might buy in. But alas politicians tend to suck.
  13. I have no idea. There are a number of towns that either have no broadband or it just got put in. Very weird for such a progressive state. Even Princeton,MA just got it in the last year or two and you can see Boston from there
  14. It’s not a school committee thing. The whole down doesn’t have it. I think part of it is that they are rather remote with less than 1500 people. Companies don’t want to run the lines out there.
  15. In my wife’s building, it is not far from that. The building isn’t that old and they have some decent technology. But without fast internet a lot of that is useless
  16. I don’t see any big rainers ahead, although the GFS has one around the 29th) But that far out (NY) anything can happen. I also don’t see any big snow chances
  17. Or in the case of some towns, literally decades.
  18. Who was the kid who liked to call Brian Dendy?
  19. I just saw his Twitter. 9 days to get fixed. That’s annoying. but then again, the town my wife works in still doesn’t have broadband internet. Sucks for the school
  20. Did Mitch get his internet back yet? He had been over a week and was raking his provider over the coals on the Twit
  21. Sold out so fast. Got to get there one of these years for the display
