  1. Yeah. I don’t understand using the neck gaiters. I find them uncomfortable but maybe people find them easier to breathe through? Looks like we will have 4 different approaches to school in my home: son doing college remotely. Daughter doing a hybrid 2 days in, 3 days remote, me doing full remote from my classroom (at least that should be better), wife going back full in person. wheeeeee
  2. 78/67 here attm. Dog days being dog days. Gonna sneak over the border for a few hours today
  3. I was sitting outside with some friends yesterday evening around 5PM. Sun still felt pretty strong

  6. Wachusett Brew Yard/Woods has looked a bit too crowded for my taste a couple of times. But driving past it makes it a bit hard to see how people are spaced out. I have not seen and breweries otherwise that were overcrowded
  7. No. They are still open and probably very busy. This was yesterday before they were actually serving food etc. I think they opened at 4 and this was 3:30 or so I would be apoplectic if they closed
  8. Sadly some bars were trying to get around restrictions by saying they were restaurants when they really were just selling stale bags of cheez itz I agree that a one size fits all edict doesn’t work. I was at Stone Cow yesterday to pick up some cans from their store. The brewery part/barn/outdoor seating area Iwas empty and I was thinking to myself how nice it would be to have a pint while no one was around Alas...
  9. The winds def were not just coming from one direction even here. Whipping in all directions at the surface. Very interesting storm here in New England.
  10. Sugar ants probably. We get them in the house when things are abnormally dry. https://www.terro.com/articles/get-rid-of-sugar-ants-in-3-steps
  11. We set out a hummingbird feeder earlier this year. 3 hummingbirds have set up residence somewhere around our house and are going to town. Just now we are sitting in our screen porch and two of them keep coming up to it and hovering to watch us. So awesome
  12. I love those maps. Thanks for finding them
  13. While we lost few large branches, tons of leaves and clusters of leaves came down. Should make easier fall cleanups. Lol
  14. I enjoy taking a shower. At least in the summer I can use water from my pool to flush the toilet via a bucket brigade
  15. Agreed. And people try to equate an indoor wedding with a protest march...
  16. Traffic has continually increased. Vehicles are larger/heavier than ever. More trucks. Roads are taking a beating. No one wants to pay more taxes to fix them (which I get) My town couldn’t even pass a debt exclusion that would cost each household around $80 a year to get roads in the town paved. But we are fine with paying $1200 to fix our suspensions.
  17. I heard one state would start cutting power to homes that have parties. Sorry, but that's over the line for me. California. I would hope people wouldn’t have large indoor gatherings. If it goes against health dept regs fine them. Make people know they were holding large parties.
  18. They got fined $600 Against Board of Health regs. I was kinda shocked. edit. Sorry. I didn’t see this was already answered
  19. A hotel one town over from me hosted a wedding with over 300 guests and staff of Saturday and a second one with 190 guests on Sunday. Hopefully nothing bad comes of it.
  20. There is an 1150lb anchor shaft from a ship that blew up in that explosion gang went 2.5 miles There were a ton of people who had eye injuries (I think Jerry treated some). Boston hospitals and doctors helped out and as a token of thanks each year the citizens of Halifax donate a large Christmas tree to the city of Boston Canadians are awesome
  21. He was a dude who used to walk around town in the 1980s collecting cans in a wheelbarrow he pushed. He was a hard worker at that. He had t shirts etc that someone made for him that said Goofy Balls
