On my menu for today Cheese and cracker assortment, stuffed mushrooms Roast turkey and gravy. Mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, corn, sage stuffing, cranberry sauce, garlic knots, butternut squash Homemade apple pie, homemade chocolate cream pie Beer, wine, sparkling grape juice. Just the 5 of us. No travel. Enjoy the day. I am thankful for much

We also use them for a house phone since our cell service is terrible. Not that we use it. I think the only calls we get or receive on it are from my MIL. We only have the one box and got rid of DVR a couple of years ago.

We have Spectrum here. Without the box we can’t use the Spectrum app so no broadcast tv. A digital antenna won’t work out here. The service has been pretty good for us but I wish the price was lower. Ive considered YouTube TV etc but their price keeps rising too.

My son was working lifts last Sunday and had to ask a couple of people to put their masks on while in line/loading. The advantage to doing this at the resort vs a store or something is your pass/ticket can be pulled. Hopefully that won’t happen. It’s really not hard to wear one. Especially skiing. Anyone have any good products they like that cover mouth and nose for skiing?

Yeah. Pretty much. She taught cooking classes to adults for many years. Kept our family of 10 well fed on my dad’s public school teacher’s salary. I wish I had her recipes. But they weren’t written down.

I didn’t discover sushi until about 10 years ago. Give me a tray of that, or some well done RI calamari. I’m not a huge fan of lobster. I prefer shrimp Not into salmon but I love haddock or cod or mahi mahi. Freshwater fish is also not high on my list Ive had octopus a few times but won’t eat it anymore.

I am definitely not a good seafood cook. I can do it but lack the skill to bring it to the next level. I will cook a number of kinds of seafood: lobster, scallops, fish, etc. but not really clams or mussels or crabs. I like them but just don’t have the knack

A well prepared steak beats any of them.

I tried tofurkey once and regretted it. The only other time I recall eating it was at a quick service place in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It was as part of a bowl as the protein and it tasted like croutons a bit. I didn’t hate it but wouldn’t order it again.

We will have my mother in law over. We are with here all the time anyway. I haven’t cooked a turkey in at least 20 years
