I kid. speaking of cicadas Brood x or whatever, I only ever saw them in large #s as a kid on Cape Cod in the late 1970s or so. Very cool bugs. I have seen one or two random ones since then. Never a mass emergence.

Yeah, having the 'vi early should give you the antibodies. I would still probably get the jab but understnad not wanting to in that case. I know for travel, some countries accept proof of previous infection in lieu of a vaccinaion

As I've mentioned we are heading to Iceland in a couple of months. When we land we need to do a Covid test even if vaccinated (for now, that might change soon). You are then required to head directly to your hotel/ rental until you get notified of your test being negative. On a forum about Iceland travel people have described their experiences of getting called etc. when they did not comply. Some have been sent home (very rare though) if they didn't follow through. Big fines.

A number of school districts around me are having early dismissal including my daughter’s (1 hour) Not my wife’s or mine. The crayons will be melting (not kidding) in the room across the hallway

89F for my high on my cheap thermometer. Car thermometer was bouncing between 91 and 93 in the area though. Monday and Tuesday will be absolutely wretched at work. No AC. Poor ventilation and masks. Pray for me
