  1. Another anecdotal observation. Out to dinner last night in the suburbs.  Zero mask wearing. Warms the soul.

Some of you know I'm in the seafood business. We've been crushed the last two weeks.  People in the big cities have stopped going out to eat.  The media doing a number on us.

Yeah it's not bad. The real good area is more like the southern part of town down into Norwell. That's where the terrain is a bit higher and the land/sea convergence zone is able to dump a bit more snow there. In 2015 it was just a lucky position of the cstl front just east of me in a few storms. So think of it as ocean effect moisture forced up and over the cstl front into an arctic airmass.

I'm on a hill so although my el is like 120', it rocks in a nor'easter since I'm probably the highest point from shore on a N to NE wind. Nice view of the BOS skyline from my street too.

Hingham has a huge difference in climates.  The side towards the highway gets crushed.

why is this even news? it should be very well-known that the vaccines, although very effective at preventing covid, are not 100% effective. Break through cases are going to happen.

with or without vaccines, covid isn't going away anytime soon.

if it bleeds, it leads.  Media is losing its grasp on covid.

We have a kayaking trip on the Saco planned for next week. I’ve heard horror stories of people having to wait and drag kayaks and canoes through water that’s 2” deep… guessing this will help that

This isn't your worst problem. Drunken college kids up at 4am lighting fireworks is.

We went for 4 years in a row. It was WILD.

There is a nasty cold going around this area. Both of my kids have had it in the past two weeks.  Both kids chose in their own to wear masks when in public/stores/at work for a few days.   It was sorta weird.  Neither my wife nor I got it.  I had a minor cold a few weeks back but not like what they had.

My family is currently crushed with the cold. I'm vaccinated. My boys and I covid negative all in rough shape.  My wife who was covid positive is fine. No cold

Why does everyone keep posting 'media fear mongering' and sharing it over and over and over again..... Stop clicking on it

I had thought about flying into Rapid City and renting a car but the rental prices were crazy.  The Black Hills have a nice mix of different types of lodging that fit many budget points and are very accessible by car.  That's one of the reasons that Sturgis is so big, the riding in the area is fantastic.  The Badlands were really interesting too.

I flew into Sioux Falls SD and drove south to Crofton Nebraska for deer hunting in November.  It's staggering how pretty it is  out there.
