  1. Yes it is! I'm an okay swimmer. Really, I only got in deeper than chest deep by accident. My foot slipped just above some rapids and I went for a ride for a few hundred feet. Lesson learned. And I was on the Cane.

The bite was on today, btw.

  2. Good Lord these downpours are crazy.  Goes from calm to raining sideways in a second.
I was standing mid river fishing when I got caught in one of those. Then the sun came out and it was great. Then it happened again. And again. And again. So i said screw it and went swimming too lol....I mean, I couldn't get any wetter!

Btw...it was definitely not warm enough for that.

  3. We had about 1.25" of snow overnight at my house, more like 2-3" more up on the bald 1000' higher. Just enough for some nice photos!

The first three are from yesterday afternoon around sunset. The last 3 are this morning. The last picture is some of the deeper snow I found on the lee side of the mountain...probably 10-12" right around where the wind dies off. fadab49ae5d1dad5749034ed5f2ebc3e.jpgb932ed41b1e35c9bebddac7b87cc5b0c.jpg908cca3542f547f99ba6d8e065da728a.jpge04524f04ae0fb02581c1e0f12ece748.jpg3b7a5304ea2dcfa7c72715b45be8416b.jpg93a4e9968dd672740616229c1fe513fc.jpg3ca7017f5bb1d745be6c0d121b111f77.jpg

  4. Clouds are rolling in now and the radar upstream looks interesting with a very strong Westerly flow aloft. Definitely some low topped convective elements heading our way into the evening hours.
Wow, you ain't kidding! Lots of convection!
