    We are gusting 70+ here in scituate with steady winds over 50. Worst winter storm i can remember. Having no power makes it harder to deal with as well.

    Cousin near islip NY has 20 to 24. Tough for him to measure. Still no power in scituate.

    Absolute massacre here in scituate. Can't even see across the street and its literally snowing sideways. Actually sideways. Gusts over 65 Most of the town has no power. I just gave the generator a break after cranking the house to 75f.

    If you have trees near by, I would wait. Lots of trees coming down in the last hour. Outage reports are quickly piling up.

    Downed power pole in scituate. Minot beach area specifically. National grid already on the scene. Multiple blue flashes since 4 am. Maybe transformers exploding, not sure.

    Massive band rotating through. Expecting it to stack up now.

    I was just out there plugging in the generator and going in the basement to flip the breaker. 2 inches max.

    Power is out in scituate. Generator is humming away. High tide wasn't too bad where I am. Maybe 1 to 2 inches. Really not much snow yet. Just wind.

    Makes sense. Dont recall seeing them when I lived near wildfires in colorado but I think I was checking other resources. Thanks for the info. Stay safe everyone.

    I just ran mine. Good to go. 16 to 18 foot waves here. Only bested by provincetown with 18 to 20 footers. Wow.     Hope everyone near the coast has their generator prepped and gas ready to go. I dont see how we could get through this without power outages

    I have no sheltered places on my property. The wind whips far too much on the coastal plain. Even in the last storm which was very mild from a wind perspective.

    New BOX maps. The 1 in 10 map is absolutely bananas for south shore MA. Especially western plymouth County.

    Need sustained winds of over 35mph for 3 hours with heavy and blowing snow. So gusts dont always cut it.

    Wow, my sister is near long beach island in jersey. Absolutely demolishes south jersey. 2 to 3 feet would shut down delaware and south jersey for a few days.
