  1. I am not really able to comment on the deeper inner-workings of the MJO but it is super-frustrating to not have really any reliable American Modeling. It must have been really fun forecasting weather before the modern era, must of been why as a kid in the 1970's can recall local Nashville weather commercials bragging that they had a five day forecast, even that must have been difficult. I feel like we are back in that era with such flip flopping. I do not want to get my hopes up just yet for a wetter forecast but we sure could use it here!
  2. I hope that we do not see any sub zero stuff, my landscaping is still in recovery mode from the last two seasons.
  3. Thank you, we all have the commonality of having a fascination with the weather and most of us have varied experience levels. Conversations always seem to be educationally beneficial even if we miss a system
  4. Yes, had to make a new one, been on here a while, mainly lurk but always try to soak up as much knowledge as possible! You are right, the look has precedent, hopefully the look is gone next model run, I dont wish any amount of ice on anyone much less that much.
  5. I cant recall seeing that much ice modeled before even if it is out in fantasy land!
  6. Yea, that ice storm for Arkansas was crazy, some places over 5" of ice
  7. Yes as already mentioned, in my area, we are still really really dry
  8. Yea, it has been a really strange last 8 months or so. It was really wet here in the Middle TN area in the Spring up until about June, then it literally stopped. It did the same thing it is doing now, about every ten days we would get a strong line of storms and it rains some but then nothing for another two weeks.
  9. I would be happy with moisture on a regular basis whatever the temps end up being, we are still really really dry here in Sumner County
