That little training over Baltimore County has really been impressive. Just sustaining itself.
It’s been good. Raining here in Owings mills for about 90 minutes. Much needed!
-
Had 12 rain drops. Now it’s cold—for June at 64 degrees. Thought it would be a shorts day but maybe not.
-
Hardly a drop in Owings Mills. Ground got wet earlier but probably less then .05

It's downright chilly up here in Frederick right now. These are times when I don't miss living in Bethesda lol. My elevation isn't too great here (300-400 ft), but it jumps quickly towards Gambrill State Park which I can basically ride my bike to. Long story short, tomorrow morning is getting interesting even for the immediate DC 'burbs.
Definitely wish I still lived in Frederick county va for this one. It won’t be great but a lot better then what I’m gonna prob see in Baltimore county

Hopefully it gets rid of all the leaves remaining on the trees

Wasn't 1990 also a flip at Thanksgiving?
Are you thinking of ‘89? That was the frigid snowy December

First frost in Owings Mills as well
-
Seeing upper 30s now in northern md on Wunderground. They should definitely get close to freezing
-
It was closing in on 3 inches here about 20 minutes ago but with just light snow it’s melting off the road.
-
Probably my favorite snow this year in owing mills. Great rates and tons of wind and crashing temps. Just wish I wasn’t working today.

Our neighborhood road has been covered for some time in Owings mills. We’ve had pretty heavy returns though most of the day and fair bit of wind. Most of the secondary roads appear to have snow or slush. Probably 2-2.5 inches on deck

Snow here in Owings mills as well. Good size flakes

12k looks like a fairly long duration snow. At least 7 hours over central and northeastern md.

I grew up watching Bob Ryan in DC. He was terrific but he always spoke to the audience like 100 percent of them hated snow lol.

I agree that it’s northern stream dominant but I’d call it more if a late A than a B. But I’ll bow out of this discussion and defer to those who know more than I.
That’s what it looks like to me too.

I beg to differ...got any records? Our biggest storms have been As not Bs!
A couple example for dc/ Baltimore would be feb 78 and the second storm in feb 2010.

I need to start wearing shoes with better traction on wet pavement/ice. I’m just gonna leave it at that.
Do not ever, I mean ever, try to walk on ice in boat shoes.

Absolute glacier out here. Got maybe a 1/4” of freezing rain on top. Temp never got to freezing.
Maybe a tenth of zrain on trees probably 1/2 of sleet and I really haven’t done an accurate measure and hard to do now since I didn’t measure last night. I’m going with 6 inches though (Frederick county va. not Owings mills)
-
Glad i traveled for this one. 6 inches or snow, pouring sleet and 18 degrees. Fredrick co Va.

Eyeballing 2-2.5 inches but it’s still just 15 degrees—I’m about 8 miles sw of Winchester for this one.

If the ice pans out and doesn’t melt before the wind hits that could get ugly really fast
