This system has loads of issues tbh. Look at RGEM storm track before secondary takes over, thats to Jamestown. And look at dry slot alleghany to Syracuse.

Would wager quite a bit we sleet at my place with that track.

Those maps are never accurate with the warm air above surface. You can take those maps and move the sleet line 50-75 miles north. Its happened with every event this year. That's unless the secondary takes over quicker which would limit the warm air intrusion with primary.

I would say south central NY. I don't think it makes it as far north as SYR, but the last few runs get it close.

Might be a dry slot somewhere when that secondary takes over.

We did a sunset hike last night and had some pretty high winds up top, enough to blow the wife over.

GFS holds on to primary a little longer and is a little further north

I'm not sure how fast I was going. 30 sounds about right. And yes 81. That day experienced the lowest visibility driving I've experienced this winter.

The worst visibility of the entire trip was actually in the Adirondacks where I almost went off the road. We were driving from lake placid up the mountain to jay peak and along the river we hit some crazy snowsqualls. Forward the video to 1 minute.

Just incredible rates. Was so focused on driving my wife was video taping it. Had to be some 4-5" per in there.

3-6" for Buf and 4-8" for Roc sounds about right.

Weak Miller B with thermal issues, this thing has lots of issues, going low on totals for WNY. Like this storm better for areas N/NW of Boston for Jackpot. For our area I like it better for central NY into Adirondacks.

The highest temperature on my drive back was 59 in Syracuse, a close second was 56 degrees in Blasdell. Sizzle sizzle.

I think there are 5 high peaks in Vermont. After I finish the adk 46 I’ll be hopping over to Vermont. The New Hampshire 48 is going to take awhile to finish.

Once you got above 4K feet all the trees were completely encased in snow. It was like walking through a tunnel, was so cool

Was up hiking the Adirondacks today. Still 4-5 foot depths above 4K feet. About 20” or so at 2500 feet. Pretty solid winter conditions.

Think I’m ganna pass on the sunrise hike, still pretty windy with occasional squalls. Going to start just before daybreak. About 20-25” snow depth where I was today at 2600 feet. Will be up around 4200 ft tomorrow.
