  1. Don't know how republicans keep supporting this regime. They are just hand feeding the rich millions each year. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/taxes/tax-change-in-coronavirus-package-overwhelmingly-benefits-millionaires-congressional-body-finds/ar-BB12BVAL
  2. Yeah starting tomorrow we are forced to wear mask if dealing with any customers.
  3. LOL Biden has lost it. Can't believe the democratic party put him first...They deserve to lose.
  4. That's a hard no from me. What Lab can I go help out to get this vaccine ready by Fall?
  5. We were on a nice decline there for a little bit. 2,335 so far today. If we follow natural progression we will likely end up around 60-80k deaths in 3 months in the US from just the Corona virus, not including the normal flu seasonal deaths.
  6. 2200 deaths so far in USA today. The highest day by far. 1535 yesterday.
  7. Deaths in France, Italy, and UK went from up from yesterday.
  8. 1,555 deaths in USA so far on the day. Up from 1,535 yesterday.
  9. Alright guys. I'm going to get infected and take one for the team to get it out of the way and give all ya'll antibodies so we can get past this nonsense. We need to be healthy and ready to go for the epic winter of 2020-2021 that is coming.
  10. It would be better to rent a cheap house and put the rest in the CD. Home appreciation was not substantial enough to compensate for a guaranteed annual return of 12%. The composite S&P index over the course of history is right around 8% (Obviously lower now with this virus)
  11. There is a direct correlation. CD rates are less then 1% right now. You could save so much money in the 80s in comparison to now with a FIXED return of 12%, that is INSANE!
  12. I wouldn't trade my childhood for the ones the kids have now. I went outside and played tag, hide and seek, built forts, board games, biked, skateboard, football, hockey, etc... My childhood was extremely special to me. Now kids just play fortnite all day. Sometimes less is more. As an avid hiker, I'd prefer to travel the world and hike mountains for free then have a Lambo.
  13. They are opening up a drive thru testing facility in cheektowaga this week! https://www.wkbw.com/news/coronavirus/drive-thru-covid-19-testing-site-setup-in-cheektowaga
  14. I'm really blown away at the stock market right now. Record unemployment/Furloughs, massive debt on corporate balance sheets, 25 trillion national debt, oil wars, and basically an entire economy that has shut down for 3-4 weeks already with no signs of reopening anytime soon. Why are the markets rising?
  15. New York new cases from 6,240 yesterday to 6,553 today. Deaths also up from 671 to 778. Looks like were still going up to me.
  16. This country has a real hard time changing deeply embedded ideologies and customs. Revolutions and innovation take away control of the powerful. What leader wants that?
  17. I read yesterday that the soonest timeframe for a vaccine is Winter/Spring 2021. With no herd immunity what other alternative do we have? Keep the country closed for a year? It would be martial law by this autumn.
  18. Statisticians need to do a cost/benefit analysis. The cost of letting the country stayed closed for a few more months is just too severe. There is always a point where the pros outweigh the cons. I think we are nearing that point.
  19. That's incorrect. So the rich having the money doesn't increase inflation, but if you spread it out it increases inflation. So basically it's impossible to get the middle class back to what it was in past times?
  20. Thank you for proving my point wolf. Luke must be living in a nice little cushy bubble. Us lowly folk are struggling.
  21. lol... I've seen a regional manager come in and clean house for no reason and I was a victim of that cleaning. I've also seen an employee fired for swearing a few times. I guess every individual situation is different and many times there is collateral damage.
  22. Workers rights have also plummeted throughout the last few decades. Unions dominated the marketplace where workers had some negotiation ability and someone standing up for their working rights. Now you can be fired for anything, and trust me I've seen people fired with no warnings for the most trivial things I've ever seen. You know in most countries in Europe you cannot fire someone without probable cause? We have A LOT of catching up to do. People on here make fun of Germany yet they destroyed us in this COVID outbreak. https://www.businessinsider.com/what-getting-fired-looks-like-in-different-countries-2019-7#in-the-uk-employers-can-only-fire-workers-if-there-is-a-good-reason-to-do-so-and-they-tend-to-fire-older-employees-first-1
  23. The stats don't lie. The income disparity in this country is growing by the year. Trickle down economics is a fallacy. https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/08/07/for-most-us-workers-real-wages-have-barely-budged-for-decades/ https://www.advisorperspectives.com/dshort/updates/2019/11/26/u-s-household-incomes-a-50-year-perspective The 1% exponential growth https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-economy-expansion-contrasts/rich-get-richer-everyone-else-not-so-much-in-record-u-s-expansion-idUSKCN1TX0HE
