  1. The last few days had a monster ridge across the entire conus on all ensembles and I was getting worried as the end of the GEFS also had a strengthening PV, now the GEFS weaken the PV which is good news. Still looks warm for weeks 2/3 of December.
  2. I'm just glad I'll be dead to see the full effects of climate change. Its going to be really bad. China keeps increasing their CO2 output, the only thing that might help us is the massive reduction in Chinese population coming in the next few decades due to the 1 child rule. If these graphs don't prove that humans impact climate change I'm not sure what does. We need to get PPM down to 300-350 to stabilize the atmosphere. https://www.climate.gov/news-features/understanding-climate/climate-change-atmospheric-carbon-dioxide
  3. This biggest losers will be the west coast, they are on fire for half the year now with receding lakes. There will be a mass migration over here the next few decades.
  4. I want another winter like 1977 so everyone moves out of Buffalo, its too crowded now.
  5. Yeah I always try to be optimistic but it looks really bad in long range on all Ensembles.
  6. Yeah think I had 12" here. Did you see December 2017 LES events? Southtowns had like 70" in a few weeks. Springville had like 125"
  7. This just popped in my Facebook feed, I miss good December’s. They are a distant memory.
  8. I cried more tonight then the last few years combined. It’s so hard saying the final goodbye
  9. Just had to say goodbye to my wifes parents dog today. I picked it out as a puppy when we were dating. The hardest thing in the world to do.
  10. I think you have the 6 that cover WNY, the other is likely a Tughill special.
  11. ...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Southwest winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible. The strongest winds are expected from mid morning through late afternoon. * WHERE...Niagara, Orleans, Erie, and Genesee counties. * WHEN...From Monday morning through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
  12. I see about a 6-8 hour window of decent lake effect parameters, main issue is the high winds so not really high on the event. Thinking few inches max, most likely across boston hills. Probably see some flakes during bills game.
  13. When the NAM shows nothing at end of its run you know its time to bow out on any LES potential.
  14. Buf hit 53 yesterday, +11 departure for the day. You want to know when the last greater than -11 departure was? May 28th of this year with a -15. In that time we've probably had 50 +10 departure days. I counted and it was 34 days with a +10 departure or greater since May 28th. Insane!
