Radar trends show the band off Lake Erie has intensified during the past hour or two, likely due to an increase in mid-level moisture and a longer fetch due to the southwest winds. These conditions will not change much until late this evening when wind shear increases and winds weaken. Model QPF guidance is too far south with this band, so adjusted accordingly. Since the band should maintain through around 10 p.m. had the confidence to issue a Winter Weather Advisory for Southern Erie county. The band should generally remain in place through 7 p.m. then may meander slightly north between 7-10 p.m. before weakening and moving south after that. Greatest amounts expected to be centered somewhere near Hamburg, with impacts extending across the Southtowns this evening. Expecting 3 to 6 inches of snow accumulation in most persistent snows. As typical with lake effect snow, this will be localized.

Yeah would have been perfect ugh. We had some decent squalls move through pregame though was pretty cool I got a good video of one.

The lake effect will remain nearly stationary through 6 p.m.

There wasn't even an advisory and Jamestown got 10-12" of snow. Jamestown is decent sized town too 15k people.

This would be the best news in quite some time. This would mean the end of the pandemic to me. A typical cold/flu is nothing to get worried about.

Holiday Valley is up to 31" on the season. Think that is one of the higher totals in Ski Country so far on the year. Jamestown might be close. Perrysburg is around 20".

Wow jamestown picked up a foot of snow overnight. I saw that band last night had to be 1-2" per.

I’m so sad about last night. So much went wrong but the weather dictated this game. That missed fg lost us the game among other things. We had some intense squalls move through pregaming.

You know I luv ya Dave! Have hope. Statistical history is on our side. It's been over 30 years since Buffalo has less then 100" of snow in 3 straight years, and 50 years since its had less then 90" for 3 straight years. Buf and Roc snowfall is pretty close.
