The radar hook in the Marshall area kind of dissolved. Wife reported heavy rain but winds were not terrible.

My wife and son are at home in the Marshall/Delaplane area. Watching that curved area in the line hoping it goes to the east but it is going to be close.

How does this event compare to the 2012 derecho?

Check out the VDOT cams for Markham and Linden on 66. Nothing at Markham and moderate snow at Linden. They are about 4 miles apart.

I hope I never see this half snow/half sleet mess again -- got about 9-10 inches and it shovels like wet sand and is super slick. Struggled plowing uphill with my tractor and my wife's Outback got stuck in about 4 inches of it on level ground this AM. I have a long, hilly driveway and got it plowed down as far as possible without tearing up my gravel but it will probably still be a challenge until it starts melting in a week.

Still snow/sleet mix here in Marshall...maybe 6 inches now? Not looking forward to getting on the tractor to plow at 12 degrees.

Moderate to heavy precip in Marshall right now -- maybe 75% snow, 25% sleet? It was almost all sleet about 20 minutes ago.
