    I don’t think it’s the mixing per se that is the issue. If we were riding freezing line and mixed it would be expected. Mixing with being well below freezing isn’t a super common occurrence.

    Good thing is that if that is what is measured at DCA it’s almost guaranteed to be more for everyone else actually in DC.

    So basically the NWS WSW language of: WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations between 7 and 14 inches, with highest in the far northern and western suburbs of Washington and Baltimore. Ice accumulations between one and two tenths of an inch.
