  1. Big difference compared to last year when I had the trees down in the front and a weed infested first growing season. Acidic soil slowly being raised. Getting dry though but I don’t water, let nature do it’s thing:
  2. The previous owner had red mulch everywhere, I was so angry....two seasons in and it’s gone now. Replaced with Some decorative rocks and some mulch.
  3. Koepka faded at the end. A tick better and the pressure would of been on Woodland but instead....he was able to play more freely 16-18 after being nerved 11-15 when Koepka was charging. Rose was a let down, terrible iron play. Nevertheless, a good open where the usga was not a factor for once.
  4. Intense....Woodland starting to feel the jitters, the pressure.
  5. They are scoring. Lack of wind and soft conditions. Unless it changes, should see double digit under numbers.
  6. I like the US Open around even par but as long as it’s a fair test. Give me deep rough and small greens like Pebble is shaping up to. I want guys who will be penalized for bad drives and approach shots. This idea that bad drivers (Tiger, Phil) can’t make magic happen from awful tee shots and therefore it’s a unfair test is bogus. Drive it straight. Sorry your big stick sucks but you don’t deserve to hoist the trophy.
  7. Brooks mental game gives him an edge against most if not everyone in the field on a weekly basis. Dude makes no excuses and takes it all on him. Tiger used to. No one else I’ve seen interviewed has Brooks mental makeup. DJ should take note. Some guys bitch and complain but somehow fail to realize everyone else is playing the same track. Hit fairways and GIR, pretty simple. You’re the best in the world, man up. On a side note, I lost any support/backing for Kuchar after that debacle of bitch session at the Memorial.
  8. A classic US open on tap. We all know Pebble, should be a great one.
  9. Interesting. You’d think they have plenty of squirrels as food source though.
  10. Migrated SE to find better food source? lol I have no idea. I haven’t seen one yet and usually they’re hanging out on the deck sipping a beverage by now.
  11. I used to have a lot last year too but nothing this year. Strange.
  12. I’ll get my bro to come up from NJ one weekend to get the bigger ones down. You’re right though, I won’t rush it and just tackle one here or there eventually. There’s so many projects I want to do I have to tell myself to be patient, can’t get them all done at once.
  13. Love those snakes. Have two on the property. They keep the mice at bay.
  14. I will aerate and seed in the fall myself but other than that, I let the service do the work. It’s only my second growing season here but a huge difference from last year when I applied it myself. Money well spent imo.
  15. I actually find it cheaper to go with a good service vs buying tons of bags and doing the labor yourself. I pay $75 x 5 this season and they come back free of charge if weeds or crabgrass pop up. If I did all the ‘steps’ myself I would pay more than $400 for the season. I’ve also freed myself to do other landscaping projects that I otherwise would not have the time to do...cuz I’d be constantly worrying about doing my lawn care, when to apply, 1hr roundtrip drive to the store, etc etc.
  16. I want to cut so many trees on my property but would deff need help. Anything close to the house needs to go plus we are heavily wooded that shades the grass in many areas causing excess of moss. Not to mention how it breeds ticks. We were lucky none of the close trees fell on the house when the EF1 struck last May. The downside of our 1.7 acres, woods...wish it was all or mostly lawn/grass.
  17. Same issue here in the 115 range. Flushed several gap wedges and overshot the green each time....and because I have subpar long distance vision I was always surprised walking up the green it wasn’t on. Now I know to hit the 54 degree wedge next time and push the gap to 130-135.
  18. Anyone have experience/feedback on the Ryobi 40V trimmer (weed wacker)?
  19. Fading me breaking 80 was the right bet. Shot a 86. Tee to green was on point, for the most part, but I shat myself on the greens. When you hit a mid iron within 5 feet on 2 occasions and fail to make birds....and 3 put bogey in 4 spots....theres you break 80 hopes go right down the drain.
  20. First round dude and being out there is good enough. Should be better this weekend. I’m playing my first full 18 tomorrow. Relatively flat course but my sales president is fading me breaking 80. Shot 84 there last year. I think I can do it but one or two bad holes which I am always susceptible of will kill it.
  21. Kind of a quite period but not as bad as the past seasons since the schedule change gives us a major in 4 consecutive months. Memorial should be good next week but then onto the US Open.
  22. I’ve never been a fan of hydroseeding but I’m also no expert. Regardless, keep at it man.
