  1. Interesting take as I'd rather take it easy in the slow lane on mostly straight plowed highways then stress myself out on tighter, more turns, and hillier unplowed back roads.
  2. Gfs soundings are still not grear with the lift below the dgz but to does decent lift above.
  3. Yea. I have 6-8 NCT, 4-6 CCT, and 2-4 SCT but mostly lower amounts south because of prolonged sleet so the impacts would be the same imwo.
  4. So I wasn’t able to get pics of the front of the car as it was pouring rain and I was holding my daughter. A nice lady who was behind us saw it happened and allowed us to sit her car while we waited for the police. Oh and she gave me an umbrella. I wish I had gotten her number to give the umbrella back and thank her. She said she was scared for us so she was relieved we were ok. Apparently the cars behind her though were honking not knowing what had happened and then a bunch of guys got out and moved the tree to make the road passable. Not concerned one bit for the smashed car or the folks involved lol. When I came around the bend, it didn’t look real for a split second but I jammed on the breaks and braced for impact. There was that fraction of time where I closed my eyes and hoped for the best. The good thing is my car kept rolling forward after impact, I don’t know how though. Maybe I split the tree and rolled over it? It doesn’t look like it so I honestly don’t know how I got 10-20yds past the tree. All I know is when I opened my eyes I smelled smoke and my dad instincts took over so I quickly got my daughter out of the back seat and got us away.
  5. Yea we’re good. I won’t clog the thread up on this anymore so I’ll post some in banter later.
  6. Hard to tell. Loves the snow as much as anyone but hates what it can do to his cocks.
  7. But TT clowns say it is lol. I always assume 3:1. Maybe March 93 had it at 6 or 8:1 but that’s rare.
  8. Thanks man. Life can be Russian roulette sometimes. My MIL was visibly upset because she was a few min late to our meetup thinking had she not been we would not have crashed….but I was like, had she been on time maybe the tree falls on us instead. Who the eff knows. Count your blessings and keep on.
  9. That range is fairly locked in away from the water. Agree.
  10. Yea, we’re good. The tow guy, funny enough, is a former arborist. When I mentioned all the storms probably weakening the trees, he said that’s not true and talked about some fungi that is weakening certain trees.I was still in shock a bit so I kinda spaced out, not exactly sure which trees and the type of fungi.
  11. Yea. I pick her up from my MILs every Tuesday night. Got off 84, came around the corner (dark, pouring rain) and thought I was dreaming when I saw something come across the road so I pumped the brakes and braced for impact. Luckily I was going about 30mph and probably hit it at 15mph maybe. Could have been worse.
  12. I totaled my car last night off exit 16 when a tree fell in front of me and I smashed into it head on. My life flashed before me with my daughter in the car…so I’m never driving in any inclement weather again, even in a windy rain lol.
  13. Yea. I don’t think it matters much because the impact is still high whether it’s 3” or 6” of snow, with IP on top.
  14. Big hit for the pikes. Looks all snow too so it’s not a fake clown counting sleet.
  15. It’s reliant on the model and the particular run but yea, I’ve seen better: even the previous frames, the best lift is below the dgz. Admittedly, I’m not the best at this but I’m learning.
