If the forums merge, the next snowstorm that models a sharp cutoff of 20 inch snow south of NYC will cause a situation like Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Yup front lines will run through Quakertown upper bucks
-
Just an outsider pov, wouldn't it make more sense to merge with, oh I don't know, the rest of the PA people instead of NY?
Totally blame you all for weatherguy aka cape may dude, aka AGW lover who **** up the MA forum until yesterday.
Makes sense to me - new poll
But where would Ray make his posts for over the river

You'll need to cut and paste if interest....screenshot91.png

Hurricane with a big second half of winter and a bold +6F January that's impressive and ugly.
-
From what I remember Glenn went above normal snowfall last two winters and is on a hot streak.
-
Finally made it into the bullseye zone in a DT map, took until March 18th of spring however
-
Props to DT 6-10" call worked out
-
I think I'd go crazy if my biggest snowfall was in November. "We are off to an incredible start!"
I was just 10 miles or so on the good side of the rain/snow line on Jan 24th or i would be saying Nov 26th was my biggest storm at 5"
-
DT going BIG for tomorrows event. 4-8" in the higher terrain regions, 3-6" for Monmouth(chuckle) 2-5" surrounding burbs(some) Big ice purple for Philly lol
Usually he's been an accurate predictor for my region, but this winter WAY off. Not one of his snow calls has verified. But he has done well for areas south of PA
-
in Dt's defense this isnt a whoops card, he does this with every storm, first guess, first call and last call. i think the 4 inches is too high for PHL too, but let's see
No he mistakenly issued the wrong map for last call
-
If you're going to play a "whoops" card, at least take advantage! :-)
I will be ecstatic if i get 4" up here from this train wreck
-
If you're going to play a "whoops" card, at least take advantage! :-)
Yeah right? 4" for Philly is still JB'ish
-
DT has a new last call map
-
10 miles south here of the 8" line on DT's map. Can't see 6-7" extrapolated ever happening based on guidance.
-
DT's facebook first guess for 2/2 says it was issued 1/20/2015

Anyone can be a meterologist these days.
No real science in the profession.
Really don't think we need people these days in the business. A few people to run a computer program and send out the forecast. Computer voices or a cartoon animated person on your tv screen
I bet if you ran the average all the top rated weather models, your forecast would have been decent for this storm 12-24 hours out.
Only reason this storm busted, was human emotion got involved. DT is the classic example.
For one thing all tv weather people should be meteorologists. I certainly want to hear a met like Hurricane doing the weather not a David Murphy saying flurries from a weak clipper on Monday.

DT on FB lmao: BREAKING NEWS... Wxrisk and the European weather Model are getting a Divorce...
Hilarious

Weather World had 3-6"
-
Nbc10 now likes my 6-10" call for upper SEPA counties from yesterday.
-
DT lost ECM support, at least in PA
-
Just saw DT's last call bumped me to 12-18". The moment of truth is coming with 12z euro drum roll please
-
Problem is that is a very broad statement. For DC and regions south that is likely to ring true on current projections.
-
DT new map 1" northern bucks and montco
1-3" Allentown
-
Surprised when I just saw DT has rain ending as snow bucks, montco and chester with 1-3" tomorrow
2-4" Allentown
