9.5" depth at the snow log, coincidentally the average of multiple measurements. Around the log also has a cool 4-5 layer archeological representation of the last months snow events.
Yeah another SECS/MECS/HECS signal showing for next Saturday/weekend
Para just hit Newport News Virginia with 30" of fantasy fluff. Next you get north trends, Ralph worries, etc. etc.
Winter of Yore month for sure. A deep arctic air mass attacked with a mega moisture feed probably a captured Miller B like this month.
But ended with an inch of rain and a grinch torch week. This weenie would have been crushed.
Willing to bet big $$$ there has never been three February's locally with this much snow and snow depth heading into March in a ten or less year time span. Has an ice age begun?
Strange consistently cold winter, the above normal days all that time staying below 50F yet no record cold or as you said lows in the single digits. I believe my coldest low was in mid December at 10F. Very odd.
Today was better looking snow than the 3 day snow job, give me 5 of these over one of them.
Reminds of the late Feb snow of 11" in 2010 that was the most impressive rates and appeal of that winter.
