Where I am in the Catskills it is getting insanely close between nothing and 6+, which is still relatively nothing seeing the totals being spat out on LI

And trust me, they can have it, this weekend one year ago I was digging out of 25”, don’t need that again

We 100% Need that again who are you kidding !:D

I can't believe this large of a storm and we're  mostly missing it. I'll take 8 inches down here but it's going to be gone next week so it is what it is.

That would be a good storm for the snow starved ENY folks. But hard to swallow for the rest of us. If it's going to miss the entire forum to the east, hopefully its OTS like the GFS.

You guys west just got a killer storm, it's our turn in the east and central to get smoked!

That Canadian is looking real good. All the models have had runs with this storm in the last 24-48. Definitely something to watch this week.

When we can't get Lows that go over SE NY and the Hudson valley to produce SNOW here....we are SCREWED. Absolutely ridiculous... it's harder to get a legit snowstorm here than it is the South these days. Lol

You should come live in the Hudson Valley and then you can see the battle we have with that stupid rain/snow line when those LPs run to close inland...

Some of these fantasy storms coming up the coast are bonkers..

  4. Woke up this morning and forgot we were scheduled to get a dusting to an inch or two thanks to the storm moving by south of us.

Left my house in Middletown and it was coming down light but as I got closer to my warehouse in Florida it was really coming down nicely. Can't ask for much more on a weekday down here with no storms right now. 32-34f observed and so far a dusting in 45 minutes. Looks nice and feels good that's for sure. f16e7f9e63bdff1e8f222b96aaf85229.jpg00217a6fef405336c8729f568bfb1a16.jpgea52cb5c8b05d208b36d72114df9380c.jpg

you don't use global models when dealing with mixing, they won't see tiny thin layers of warm intrusion. I said that like 5 times in the thread.  Yes the nam got the warm air intrusion aloft right as it should with a meso, but in general was way way way way way  to warm. Ask tughill how his 1-3" of snow is doing. I would use rgem over nam in a heartbeat.

Just got back from my trip up there. The entire area did pretty well on and off the hill headed towards Brantingham and Stillwater.

I was at Cedar Pines (I can never get a beer there they are always jammed and they seem to avoid people standing up.) and the trails out there were not as impressive as 12-18+ inches should've been. But they definitely got the snow.

We stayed at the Edge in Lyons Falls and waking up yesterday they were dry-slotted for a few hours but after that it was snowing most of the day moderately (we were in Stillwater area mostly but even at 5pm when we had dinner at the Pine Tree it was coming down).

If I had to guess they got 7-8 inches on and off the hill headed east towards OF. I don't know how OF itself made out, nonetheless they really needed something and could use a lot more.
