I need to note up front that I am NOT posting this link for the discussion that is on that page nor to imply anything about the source name, etc.  I am simply posting this link to get scientific discussions about the photos that are at the bottom of the page (like...see that cloud pattern?  It is called xxx and is caused by yyy).  Again, NOT a political discussion or crazy theory discussion....my objective is to have a purely scientific, evidence based discussion.  THANK YOU for bareing with me as a noob.  I apologize if I stirred up a discussion that has been put to bed and frowned upon to discuss.  I come in peace lol.  Here is the link....please discuss the pictures at the bottom only!!

Oooh ancient-code.com. Love that site!  Putin’s cloned Scythian horse lord army…what are we going to do about that? We might need weather mods after all. Wipe out their grain stores so they can’t feed the army.

There is a generation of spoiled hurricane kids who were born into a high-speed internet Katrina world. They didn't grow up like me checking out hourly tropical updates on the Weather Channel watching storms fail over and over in the 1990s.

I remember when we didn’t have tropicaltidbits and had to actually forage for data

Wasent it last year everyone was calling for a Sub900 storm only have the first drop record 928? Eta, Iota one of those.

That was one of the funniest moments in tropics history

We are going to need a bigger infrastructure bill

Indeed. They weren’t lying when they said climate change is going to cost trillions. What’s nuts is that Louisiana is a relatively cheap example. The east coast of Florida will one day have its hurricane barrage and that will be so much worse.

I think Ida looked better an hour and half ago. Maybe just me.

Will Ida have a well-defined eye by noon EST? I have my doubts.

She’s looking better in the last two minutes than she did 7 minutes ago tho

Louisana has been getting destroyed by hurricanes the last 2 years. Just last year they had Laura (High end Cat 4), Delta (High End Cat 2), and Zeta (Upgraded to Cat 3)

Nine named storms have been in the Gulf of Mexico. Eight named storms have made landfall along the U.S. Gulf Coast

Maybe we shouldn’t be living there. I was thinking that all day yesterday when people were talking about evacuation difficulties. Perhaps Mother Nature is trying to tell us something. It’s only going to get worse as climate change accelerates, sea levels rise, and our political system stays dysfunctional.

If the NHC didn't want regular folks calling storms "he" or "she" then they probably shouldn't use a list of names that clearly alternates between male and female sounding names. I know its more properly an "It" but I understand why people would call it a "she" or a "he."

We should have stuck to the NATO alphabet

Absolutely.  I posted in response to another outlandish post.  Mistakenly, I believed I was in the "banter," section.  I took the time to explain perspective from a former COE employee.  I wholeheartedly believed that would benefit others.  Crazy I am I guess.  Learn something new even in old age.

What did you do for the COE and how does that make you a climatologist, political scientist, or economist…all of which you touched on in that rant that went on forever…

you’re wielding your professionalism as some sort of badge of authority but you also sound nutter butter.

So how prepared are the people down there in Louisiana to take this hit? My recollection is the levies were rebuilt/modified for a CAT 3 storm and of course this is supposed to be CAT 4.  How much wind, water and surge are they prepared for vs. what is coming?

I was thinking of Katrina and now an Afghanistan comparison comes mind and that isn't crazy either, God help us.  Are we going to see a Hurricane Ida version of Afghanistan's instant collapse down there?

I can't believe they are almost all going to be sitting ducks.

I’ve considered chasing this, but pretty sure my car would get destroyed, which is not worth it...

I guess other chasers just get rental cars and trash them? I’m not willing to do that cause it’s against the Torah

    Just drive better.
