Things still look pretty good. GFS actually has over .5 qpf here through the end of the week but need to see other models get more interested before getting too excited. Central MO is crushed on storm #2.
Storm #2 continues the trend of a more expansive shield of precip. Someone will get lucky and do really well from the two storms put together. Nice hit NW AR for storm #2
0z gfs is a little weaker but has more precip focused for the East OK far north West AR crew this run. Also has the initial round a little stronger then before up north but weaker then the NAM.
Your in a good spot! NAM looks good in OK for storm one and eastern AR for storm 2. Even NW AR does dent on the Nam. Just sort of a relative lull as been shown on other guidance.
Same its freezing out there. Was just picking things up in Parkvile and hurts to be outside. Not getting too invested or my hopes up. Last few runs have the PV shifting a bit north on the Thursday storm and the GFS toyed with setting up a band of snow in eastern KS at 18z. Not likely but something too watch. Looks like we snap out of the freezer at least after that.
For those worried down south. I really think your fine. I think were just seeing things get a bit more realistic amounts wise. Those maps a few days ago were fun to look at but these numbers are a lot more realistic. Still a good storm is one the way for many.
I still remember growing up in NJ and getting all excited looking at composite radar and seeing all this precip headed my direction only to realize the storm was too far east and watch the moisture hit the fabled brick wall. Of course there were great storms too.
Hoping for a couple inches up here in KC. Good luck down south. You deserve it. Best shot up here is if we can get a little fluff Sunday on the overrunning snow. Tonight looks like another duster.
Story for us is going to be the cold it seems. Otherwise just hoping to salvage an inch or two over the next week. It does seem like the far SE areas of the metro are very close, but I'm also north of the river in Gladstone.
