There is a STRONG signal on all the 12z global for a big Miiler A type storm next weekend. Precipitation type unknown yet. Some show over a foot of snow, others snow rain.
short range models slowly ticking snow line west. wouldn’t be surprised if RVA ended up between 2 to 3 inches

Overall models trending better this evening. GFS, GEFS, NAM, CMC. RGEM. some are small changes some are larger scale changes but overall changes all trending well. No historic storm yet (maybe the NAM).
The 18z operational GFS has ticked north west slightly. Yesterday gfs didn’t even have any precipitation at all in most of va. I am not throwing in the cards yet on a big storm evolving. lot of moving parts the models need to digest. if that northern piece of energy can back off some then more phasing can occur and less separation.
