  1. The WSJ recently had an article about the US hitting a plateau in vaccinations later this spring. That will shed some light on overall vaccination rates. There will most definitely be a large segment of the population that will forego the vaccine for a period of time or completely all together. That alone opens the doors for increased social pressure against the unvaccinated. Goes without saying we could have a contentious summer.
  2. For my understanding, the Black community is also concerned about that vaccine...The Tuskegee experiment isn’t exactly a proud moment.
  3. There are cases indeed where it will be required as a condition of service. There are private and public schools that require proof of vaccination. I think my point was misconstrued, what Im trying to say is essentially - good luck convincing everyone to get that jab. I said it earlier though, I believe most people are getting the vaccine and to add, these people outnumber the reluctant.
  4. So what do you purpose we do? Publicly shun them, Imprison them or execute them?
  5. Wether we like it or not, many people will not get the shot. And with all do respect, that decision should be respected. Personal choice is enshrined in this country. I do believe that most people are doing the right thing and are getting the shot for their own health and secondly, for the health of their fellow peers.
  6. Its an absolute pipe dream to assume broad vaccination rates of 70% or higher. You’re just not going to see that. Many people have no interest in getting the vaccine. 70% is shooting for the stars. We’ll see.
  7. Detroit has a mass-vax center (Ford Field) problem is, many people make appointments and do not show. Anyhow, I contracted C19 this last November. I had a mild case, but still nasty. Pondering if I should get the vax or not?
  8. Thats a double whammy. Combine that with a nasty respiratory virus.... ouch
  9. Whats the average age of those in the ICUs?
  10. Indeed. The common cold is rocking around here as well. Tis the season. I know many people run off to get a COVID test at the first sign of a non allergy sniffle. Makes you wonder when the end game is? Hopefully as vaccination rates hit good levels people feel at ease with being human again. Getting a respiratory cold is all part of the human experience. COVID rocked the boat in that regards.
  11. Picked up a $hit ton of rain last night and into this morning. Definitely needed it. After almost week of 60s - 70s the green-up has launched off the pad here. Started last week and is very noticeable now. Its beed a solid March. Hoping that April holds the line as indicated in the LR and we stay mild and sunny. Now all we need are some 2010 style T Storms.
  12. Its getting dry around these parts. Yesterday’s forecasted “soaker” never materialized for at least my locality. The drought conditions in the SW looks modestly concerning. Leaching NE slowly and it makes me wonder if we have a very warm and dry late spring. Verdict is still out on that. Its been a beautiful March so far and the green up has commenced. Looking forward to the warm up scheduled for this weekend and beyond.
  13. Picked up roughly 2.5” of snow this afternoon. Definitely a nice treat. Some solid rates as well. Hopefully we add a few more inches come tomorrow night into Tuesday.
