Depends on how north. I think exit 30 is in better shape vs Exit 23. Exit 42 is where I’d feel much better though.
Right on, I'm Exit 28. So hoping we see a few flakes fly later on this evening.

I’ve got a good feeling about this for the upstate. With -4c 850 temps if we start out as snow at 35/36 with 3/4 inches of liquided headed our way... game on!
Do you think that the NC Piedmont would follow suit?
Temp here in North Mecklenburg down to 49. Forecast lows are around that 35/36 range.

The RAP is ugly for mountain folk. They’ve had their share of snow this year though right?
Hoping they'd be willing to share the wealth this one time.
How accurate has this model been over the winter?

My mother is from South GA (Tifton). We have to work hard for our snow in the lowlands around here
I know Tifton very well. Grew up in Moultrie right down the road.
Was a little guy in 89 when they last got a good snow.
Fingers crossed something big comes to fruition here in NC after that GFS teaser.

You talking 12 or 18z . 18z not good NC
Was hoping for the 18z to produce. Hadn't viewed it before posting.
Arggh the 18z was a near complete miss for NC. Let's see if we get a windshield wiper effect later tonight.
Ingredients are there. All about timing.

Timing is killing these runs. Hope to see a slower solution on the 18z.
Holding hope in North Meck.

Back edge here in Cornelius just turned to rain. Even though radar is still showing snow.
Sigh. It was fun while it lasted.

2/6/-2/7 Snow Threat
in Southeastern States

Been there done that too many times since I moved here in 2015. Pouring snow at Exit 28 only to meet pouring rain 2 miles south down Catabwa Avenue. It's both fascinating and frustrating in these parts lol
