  1. Just want to point out that in the 13 years I've been on weather forums that this is by far the most active our sub forum has been
  2. I had something similar to this typed out a couple days ago but didn't post. You nailed it. We have had so many letdowns in the past that we can't even sit back and enjoy a great winter while it's happening.
  3. Good news is that it won't take much of a trend back the other way to be in a high end warning scenario? Am'rite?
  4. Nws call seems to be pretty good at this point. Even with the big swing on the nam we are still at a 6" storm
  5. Just one run but it is concerning considering how consistent it's been with a thumping the past couple days
  6. How much further north can this thing really go? From what I can tell we're in a really good spot if you like 6+ snowstorms.
  7. Has to be close to 4" out there. Too cold to do an actual measurement lol. Coming down good.
  8. Definitely. That type of snow that just piles up. We can't miss this year. Even the storm that never had more than 3" otg once was officially recorded as 9.1"
  9. I had to laugh when the second I made it home I saw my first plow of the entire drive
  10. Very dangerous out right now. Roads haven't been touched. Had about 2" at the airport when I left. Cars stranded all along 376. Accidents. Shocked I made it home.
  11. Exactly. So far this has been a great winter on every front. An all around true winter so far.
  12. Everything about this storm was strange. Including the official total lol
  13. Took the entire day but those heavier returns have finally made to the city lol.
  14. I was there around 6 and it was getting real dicey. Tons of cars on the road too. I'm not shocked.
  15. Curious what washington county looks like. That blog has been nearly stationary for hours now.
  16. That storm was just an entirely different beast. I'll never forget the look of those flakes. Smallish but fast and furious. I remember measuring 6", taking a 2 hour walk and coming back to close to 10". Was blown away considering the flake size.
  17. 24 hours and on the first day of spring. I'm expecting a very similar storm here.
  18. It was definitely a longer storm but the point is I don't think there's any need to worry about low rates accumulating over duration.
  19. Was actually one of my favorite storms. I was amazed myself that how much it accumulated with the sun angle and the 10" was the most I measured since 2010 lol. Definitely more concerned about the dry air rather than low rates accumulating.
  20. Again, we had a 8-10" storm 3 years ago that had light rates over duration. This fell in mid March.
