I think you can’t under estimate the power of a fan base. There were plenty of voices that were pretty loud in their disdain for that, national voices. That brings it to the front and then I’d bet there were hordes of Eagle fans that made their displeasure known. When an organization has a whole nation and then their own fan base disgusted and embarrassed there’s added pressure to make a move. The easiest move an organization can make is to change the coach. Pederson and anybody else in the organization can try to justify what they did but for many, including me, it was wrong on a bunch of different levels.

Was thinking about the PNA and how it’s been positive for a while now. What do we have to show for it? Nothing. The last time it was near zero we got our only storm a couple of days later. Who’s to say that if trends near zero or neg it might allow some energy to enter at a low latitude and then our super block might squeeze it enough to force it south of us or run a cutter into some cad.

The long range thread can make one truly psychotic. It looks great then looks bad, it’s be patient it’s coming and then it’s we can’t really know. As for me I just want a good precip event that isn’t a cold front. Let’s start there.

Those typically don’t work. Precip is too weak here. But with this blocking who knows.

I happen to agree with you. The pacific is always more important imo. Said that years ago and don’t believe different now.

We’ve had 0.18” of precip in Winchester since Jan 1. You can draw your own conclusions from that.
