From my perspective, the Euro and ICON were the most steady and it was the ICON that had the higher totals most consistently. But I don’t think any had the widespread higher totals that we saw.
I need @clskinsfan to chime in. I’m on snowless Long Island and have no idea how much has fallen at my house. Guess he’s sleeping off his good time from last night lol
I said a couple of days ago, that if it was less than 6 inches I wasn’t interested. But since everyone else is so excited, I think I’ll just stick around.
You have to remember that they are pros. They aren’t sitting down there waiting anxiously on the next model and then jumping up and down when it increases snow by a half inch like we are.
And the question of whether snow will stick and the talk of marginal temps … the ground is frigid. If it falls as a snowflake it will stay a snowflake.
You can see in the snowfall map the heavier stripe starting to turn a little more sw to ne. That would indicate improvement in precip across the region because of the backing you mentioned.
I don’t expect a big shift on the gfs. It just seems like lately it just sticks to its gums. Think it would be a good sign if it did have a significant uptick.
