Wet soil is really going to exacerbate this potential power problem
-
Can someone start an Obs thread for this event?
-
Not sure how much SNE has dried out since Friday, but is there a brush fire threat that accompanies the high winds/downed power lines?
-
If anything does materialize next week it would only take 4-6” to start causing some power problems; check your gennys.
Meanwhile I am on all down here for Sunday if we have any damage in north Florida

Too bad this wasn’t even two weeks ago. Climo gets really tough even in ORH after about 4/14-15.
The only two warning criteria events at ORH post 4/15 are 4/28-29/87 (17.0”) and 5/9-10/77 (12.7”).
4/18/65 got close with 5.5”.
But if there’s a pattern that can do it, it’s this one.
The way this winter has gone wouldn’t be surprised if you cash in

I still think as far as Hubby into Barre Ma area will see 1-2 inches on grassy surfaces

I just went thru the EPS projected surface to 700 temps for many areas in New England. That's sick for mid April. Any notable Mid late April snowstorms in your memory?
The May snow storm in the late 70’s that gave ORH a decent dump might be similar??

The height of it where you are could be close to 10:1 if we can get that filthy lift in the DGZ. The higher elevations may be even better if they can get to like 31.5F or something. Otherwise yeah that sounds about right.
NW RI over to NE CT high spots (Union, Pomfret, East Killingly) look good for this

Tom Brady out according to his own tweet -
could be a hoax to motivate reaction? ...but, given the last several months of fervor and tenor surrounding his free-agency, and to mention the SUPER attractive offence the can-do-know-wrong Bellicheck put together surrounding him last year ... probably this is destiny
IMO expected and if I were the Pats front office I would not have resigned him. Time to rebuild that position after 20 years

How were rainfall amounts in SNE? Was hearing lots of brush fires yesterday from ORH down to Ginxy area, think the wind will dry things out pretty quick

Surprised now fire weather talk by Box this am, lots of brush fires in SNE this weekend and with warm SW winds today I assume that trend continues
