Hoping for our sakes that’s overdone. Definitely don’t want to deal with no power. In any case I’m charging up the appliances today.
Wish for once I was in central PA for winter weather. A poster near Altoona has 5” already this morning.
After August of 2020 I had a generator plug installed outside and got a 5000 watt to handle the oil burner and appliances. I hope I don’t have to get it out.

Last time I had 70 mile per hour gusts was August of 2020 and I had no power for ten days until an out of state power crew brought us a new pole.

I had close to 1.5” in middle island. Didn’t have much melting on the grass today either
Nice. Here in west babylon snow melted on contact. I happened to go for a drive out by moriches and it was sticking on the roads

I don’t want to downplay anything. But rain and wind is like playing the same movie over and over on Long Island. We will survive lol.

This might be a good example of the winds off the Sound fracturing snowflakes. ISP reported 24.7" of snow with 1.33" SWE. I had 16.4" of snow with 1.62" SWE.

Such a beauty. West of city didn’t get much we really cashed in out here. I think it’s our turn again lol

you get used to it. To me, the big problem is getting snow then wishing for more right after- it's very addicting. But when you have even less snow, it is less addicting and you learn to appreciate it when it comes
A lot of my Long Island family moved to Clayton. And a friend of mine from Merrick bought a house in Raleigh to. I just can’t do the no snow thing. Personally

West Babylon - snow at the end for an hour. Minor minor grassy area coatings
out past patchogue where I was earlier- snow was heavier and a slushy half inch formed.
wintry feel
hoping the upcoming pattern delivers.

You must live very close to the bay? It’s been 33-34 last few hours with the snow. You have to be one of the warmer spots in western Suffolk
I took a drive out east to clear my head. Heavier snow in moriches. Quick slush coating on road and grass.

Out by moriches right now. Heavy snow.
slush on road

Temp dropped two degrees. Pretty rapidly. May end as a burst of snow?

I'd say I'm mainly snow now but still no accumulation. it's mostly frustrating seeing Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Long Island get snow and not us because the ingredients are there for this to bust positive and instead if it busting negative.
I’m on Long Island. It’s raining. Only a small portion of LI is snowing
