  1. Any idea which model NWS is using for their forecasts?
  2. Nancy in Redfield probably created that on her dial-up computer!
  3. Whoa! Whatever happened to the W/NW winds!?!? Complete horses**t
  4. Lmao! It is so true! Central Square is in the snow belt.
  5. Maybe the GFS will come out of left field and show something good for everyone. “Eye roll”
  6. I lived in Cicero prior to BVille and much more snow in Cicero & Brewerton area.
  7. Been here about 7 years and the first winter was brutal- that’s when the temo was below freezing the entire month of February. Has gone down hill since then
  8. Well, let’s hope it meanders down our way and the models aren’t right. Get a band that swings back n forth between northern Onondaga and Wolfie
  9. It’s almost like a cruel joke the weather Gods are playing and I am not like it. Enough is enough for f***s sake! you can’t make this s**t up anymore
  10. There are some nice little areas in Phoenix, which is a mile down the road from BVille
  11. Yeah man- it is a joke and the taxes are outrageous! Another year in an apartment not paying BVille taxes is worth it. Bank it!
  12. Love Buffalo! Work in the hospitals there and have done roughly 1100 overnights there over the past ten years. When I moved to Cuse from NYC area, I was a Jets fan and I converted to Buffalo Bills 3 years ago. It is truly a second home city for me.
  13. 100%! I am just glad to have an active pattern and thank all you guys for posting maps. Long ways to go but let’s pray the last half of January and February work in all our favor. Pray there will be snow for Bills vs Ravens Saturday night. Praying a lot...
  14. That looks much better! So what is the difference between the GFS vs Para?
  15. Yeah...I am gonna cling to the long range NAM instead.
  16. From Binghamton- snippet This large upper low will gradually become more open and start to move more rapidly to the e/ne late Saturday into Sunday. This will usher in the cold/drier air to the region much faster late this weekend...and this cold regime is expected to remain in place into the beginning of the week. The cold northwest flow will be variable at times Sunday into Monday but be conducive for lake effect snow showers. The flow pattern should keep most of the accumulating snow east of Lake Ontario, but some bands may arc south into the Thruway and south of Syracuse at times as well. Highs in the 20s and lows in the teens will return early next week.
  17. Great to hear and caffeine is such a culprit. If I have too much coffee, I get palpitations that night. Since I stopped drinking coffee, essentially eliminating caffeine intake, palpitations disappear.
  18. Love that pic! Yeah- always remember calories in, calories out. Also, I am 6’ 3” and 238 pounds so a i would drop 5-8 pounds of water the first week of keto (while heavier at 255-260)and then it was a slow drop for weeks until it started to snowball after 2-3 weeks in terms of weight loss. Find out your BMR (typically body weight x 12 so your BMR or calories burned at rest is roughly 2000 calories. There are many calculators for macros although I never used them. With keto, you can easily double that so proceed with caution. I am dealing with COVID and recovering so still eating good meats but added carbs and “regular food” to boost my immune system. After this is over, I will be doing more of carnivore type lifestyle, only eating meat and supplementing with vitamins and minerals. Have done carnivore and keto and for me, carnivore worked best because I literally ate once or twice a day, usually 1 or 2 ribeye steaks- that’s it. Just found it more convenient as getting quality high fat can be a challenge while traveling. best of luck!
  19. Don’t know who is calling the plays the Buffalo today but wtf! You run it with Moss on 2nd & 3rd and short? With Josh Allen at QB? Spread everyone out and utilize quick WR’s and Allen’s legs.
  20. Bing not much better.....why so vague? Is everyone in a complete funk? The long term period continues to look quiet and the slight warming trend continues through most of next week. A surface low develops in the southeastern US that moves out to sea Tuesday as a blocking high prevents the low from moving into our general area. There does remain some uncertainty with this system with timing and location, but models continue to keep the system off the coast for now. A couple of shortwaves move through Wednesday bringing another slight chance for lake effect snow showers in our far northern areas. A ridge builds in briefly early Thursday to dry things out. During this time a deep trough begins to dig into the central US. Chances of precipitation remain in place during late next week as this system sweeps across the eastern half of the US.
  21. Upstate NY’s snow drought could end soon -- with a bang Updated 11:42 AM; Today 9:45 AM https://www.syracuse.com/weather/2021/01/upstate-nys-snow-drought-could-end-soon-with-a-bang.html essentially confirming what everyone has been discussing with cold and LES
