  1. The past few winters have been relatively bad but NE as a whole has seen (at least) three major nor'easters/blizzards in the past several years. It's all-or-nothing, whereas the 1980's were more consistently poor with more nuisance/mid tier/flip to ice rainers
  2. Bust 495 littleton/harvard. 1" above 400' but not much below that
  3. Very light snow with a sloppy 1/2" or so. Hopefully gone in a few hours
  4. oh yeah I don't expect that type of ridging but given the past couple winters, wouldn't rule out something extreme too. GGEM looks to be heading gfs direction by D10 so there's that
  5. that ridge must be close to record-breaking? 585 dm up through CNE. wow wow wow
  6. There was/still is? so much great music on TWC. Mostly jazz but they occasionally had other stuff. this is my personal fav, never knew until I got old that was Zappa graduate Patrick O"Hearn's song or about downhill racing, but the music conveyed it.
  7. I don't think your 80's perception is entirely accurate. Yeah there were some stinkers but two good ones, and maybe two? average/ok
  8. Messing up a staple, cannot possible go wrong- chicken parm, you know it's bad. lol
  9. If you have long grass then it's not gonna coat even with 1", but a golf course buzz is coated with 1/4"
  10. to me. a coating is around 1" but I'm not sure about an actual definition.
  11. Yeah CNE/NNE, pouring rain and 50's here. Maybe a few bangers if we're lucky
  12. looking more like post Dec. 20th for anything significant outside of CNE/NNE. QPF won't be much of an issue so there's always the risk of a SNE elevation big 'un, after the dry spell
  13. but you're probably talking about CT...so yes. bone dry/cold clipper wx to cold pouring rains is most likely. but NNE may be ok Dec 6-13th roughly
