  1. When looking especially at the short term models,  on a site like pivotal (there's so many models) which would you say are better at handling lake effect?  Always been curious on that

I full expect someone to have 3 or more feet by Saturday out that way, but I kind of think the band focuses a bit farther north than that, from far northern Ashtabula into Erie County. It’s a nutty setup and the model outputs are about as robust as I can remember around here.

This may be the worst winter I can ever remember. I know a couple years ago was bad, but we aren't even getting nickel and dimed. I'm not sure where to check for snow totals for the winter, but I know it has to be under 4"

Cleveland Hopkins averages 63.8 inches per year and is at 16.5 and they got a bit more from the lake enhanced storm about 2 weeks ago than i did 30 miles east in lake county.  I'm probably sitting at only 8 total inches or so and its the end of January.....

Really couldn't draw it up any worse... low cutting northwest of us with limit wrap around snow... then a WSW'erly wind direction taking the lake effect to western new york. Not a great start to the year weather wise.

and at least a week of temps 0-10 at night and 20 or below during the day
