That's pretty early man. It is really early for low 40's here. Hopefully a sign of some early cold this year.

Cloudy with showers this morning gave way to a beautiful sunny day. Temp is 71 with a dry ne breeze. Perfect day.

I am actually not sure anything is good for us anymore when it comes to snow. The weird thing is the ocean temps in the Mid Atlantic have been cold for a few years now. Been trying to read and understand why that is happening. And best guesses I have seen attribute it to Northern Hemisphere ice melt due to CC. My theory is it is effecting the "normal" baroclinic zone on the east coast. And that is impacting storm tracks. But who the hell knows anymore? We have had some whacky ass storm tracks over the past few years.

Nah. I set all of my forecasts off of the 384 GFS. Works out all of the time.

The past couple of days have been glorious. Was 52 when I left the house this morning. Nothing better than late summer/early fall in the mountains.

I am keeping my mountain home just in case :). 4 hours is nothing for chasing a blizzard.

Just got home from a few days in OC. Waves are pumping!! Water has warmed up. Was sorry to leave. One more year until I am there full time.

Crazy how tropical systems just want to spin the atmosphere inland. Wildest radar I have watched in years. And so much different from heavy winter storms. But of course we dont get those anymore.

Perfect rain all day today. Never heavy. But steady all day. Just what we needed out here in the northern Shen Valley. Ground was hard as a rock and splitting. Now it is squishing when I walk on it. Debby may have literally saved us out here.

My ground was so hard and dry that the rain is just running off of it like a river. Never seen that before in my life.

Weekend forecast is fantastic out here after the front passes. Sunny and low 80's. High 50's at night. Will be nice to get out of the furnace for a few days regardless.
