  1. Atleast 1/3 of the United States is under a winter storm watch/warning
  2. We had over 2’ in 12 hours February 2013 in Suffolk
  3. I’m not expecting much to happen Monday think most of it is over by Sunday night
  4. I’m assuming we’ll see winter storm watches posted by Friday evening?
  5. 40 and clouds. 30 degree difference 24 hours ago
  6. I’m not buying it either for my area but I think the mix line could make it up to southern Monmouth
  7. Me either, and I agree it’s the right move. Nobody does even further south in DC area and Virginia. No projected totals are out. What I posted was what TWC was forecasting. I’ll leave it at its becoming increasingly likely a snowfall greater than 6” is on the table. I wouldn’t throw any amounts until Friday afternoon
  8. I just checked for my area they have me 5-8 Sunday and 1-3 Sunday night and maybe an inch Monday. 6-12” total. I think it’s too early to give any amounts
  9. I remember the Alberta clippers as a kid in the late 90s and early 2000s. I’d wake up to 1-4” of snow thinking school was cancelled only to have my parents say nope get your ass out of bed for school. At one point I recall getting 3-4 of em in one week
  10. Yeah I didn’t do nearly as good during Juno as Nemo in central Suffolk
  11. @wthrmn654 @Blizzardo https://www.weather.gov/okx/storm02092013 good read
  12. My buddy had to abandon his car on LIE like many others. It was impossible travel
  13. Nope it was 2/8 and 2/9 2013 just googled it
  14. Def wasn’t Nemo. Maybe Juno. Nemo dropped over 2’+ in nearly all of suffolk. Medford was the jackpot with 32” and I think orient had over 30”
  15. I was working in Melville at the time and was living in kings park at the time. It rained all day then turned to snow when I left work at 4pm. You sure you’re not thinking of another storm?
  16. 2013. Started as heavy rain then flipped to snow around dusk
  17. I’m not buying the warmup many weather/news outlets are projecting. I can see some sleet on the back end. But News12 just projected a map where it has temps going into the 30s Sunday evening for all of LI and NYC. Really just don’t see that happening but what do I know, I’m an amateur at this
  18. To sum up today’s runs it looks as if the storm continues to tick north
  19. Maybe some people don’t wanna scroll back 5-6 pages
  20. Central suffolk. If history proves it seems pretty likely
