  3. Bachelor is on the eastern slope of the cascades, so they get some pretty good powder. Mt. Hood snow is usually much wetter. .

  5. I'm thinking tomorrow may not be worth the trip to Killington. If I knew it would ski like a nice spring day, I'd go, but I'm thinking rainy, windy, foggy, drizzly with sticky snow. I don't mind getting a little wet, but tomorrow looks pretty nasty. Thoughts?
  6. Looks a bit windy tomorrow. NWS going for gust to 75 on Killington Peak. .
  7. That sounds so cool! I agree that some areas might see more snow fall for a while but I think the pack will suffer with more rain and warm temps too. Sad. .
  8. Thinking of going to Killington our Pico Saturday. They got lots of snow this week and seemed to get the upslope bullseye. Killington is about 90% open and Pico 100%. Worried about rain and fog. Also worried that snow might be wet and sticky. Seems like when it’s powdery and then gets warm, the snow can be weird. Needs a few freezes and thaws to turn into nice corn. .
  9. Great pics!! It’s amazing how a good skier and photographer can make any powder look super deep. .
  10. I agree. More moisture should lead to more frequent bigger snow events, however I feel like the increased warmth is like a ticking time bomb. Eventually, it’ll be too warm to maintain decent snow pack in lots of places. .
  11. To cheer you guys up, check out this article. Glad we’re alive to enjoy skiing while skiing exists lol. http://www.impactlab.org/news-insights/americas-shrinking-ski-season/ .
  12. Gore was ok today. Very windy and cold. 4” of powder but lots of ice. Still a good day. Some nice packed powder where the wind didn’t scrape it off. .
  13. Mt. Snow was nice but pretty firm today. Shame the rain firmed up the snow so much. Bagged 21,000 vertical under bluebird conditions. Thinking the next rain is gonna make things worse. Shame!!! .
  14. Can anybody update how conditions are? Is the ice from the double rainers still rearing it’s ugly head? .
  15. Can anyone update conditions after the tag team Rainers to Mainer’s? .
  16. We went to Windham to use our Warren miller Ski Film Coupon. Got 23,000 ft. vertical with the lack of lines and the super fast new 6 pack. I now have a wallet with all of my RFID cards that i keep in my boot bag lol. Everyone seems to be starting to use them. My Mt. Bachelor card for February is already loaded and ready to go. I can just go right to the lifts. They seem to help lines move fast too. I personally love them. I've gotta get back to Platty. The drive is intimidating from here lol. I think you have to take like 30 turns to get there. Thank you google maps!!
  17. Nice. Love Royal. Was everything open? .
  18. Windham was awesome today. Lots of soft natural snow bumps. Still some powder stashes left from the big storm. Almost fully open. Hardly anyone there. .
  19. Cool! Might go to Mt. Snow this weekend. .
  20. 25.7" total! 6" since 6:00 pm last night. About 21" on the ground. My biggest storm since 27" in 93!
  21. It's amazing how round 1 and 2 just loved Albany County and surrounding areas! Radar looks great!
  22. I've measure 22" on the snowboard and around 18" on the ground. I wonder if the general public understands how snow is officially measured. I was cleaning the board every 6 hours, but I slept in a bit and then got stuck at my ice cream shop in Albany today so I had two 8 hour sessions. Downtown Albany was a mess. I snowblowed for 4 hours straight! The city plowed an intersection onto my sidewalk and left a pile 5 feet high and like 10'x15' long. I helped a bunch of people get their cars out. Snow can be a pain in the city lol.
  23. Latham report from 8:15am was 20". I would think the airport would have more. Latham is a couple of miles north.
