    Delta are you in Rochester? I saw a pic from Lyndonville this morning on the local news and the tires on the vehicle in the driveway and the garage door lower panel was covered with what looked to be about 18+” or so, then a FB post from a neighbor who has a friend that said in the same area they received near 2 feet, is this possible?

    If you do look back at the Euro ensembles yesterday they did have a high LE and low totals. I brought this up and it was stated it’s the 50 or so separate runs smoothed out, however maybe it was on to something...

    I do have to say there is quite a bit of snow on the ground right now and this is the best I’ve witnessed in some time, especially for how long this stretch has lasted. I measured 13.5” OTG and we still might add to that Thursday into Friday

    Wow. Dogs woke me up (not the kids for once) at 5. It didn’t take 10 seconds to see we busted. I didn’t hear the pingers but judging the sugary texture of the “snow” I can see it made it this far north as well...so the next system for Thursday night-Friday is modeled along the east coast...look out Toronto!!! This is your storm...

    It also appears the dry slot south of Buffalo is shrinking and there’s some very nice returns behind it.

    So true. As we become more heavily dependent on technology in general you can see certain aspects of common sense and decision making suffer a bit.

    Flake size has increased, just in time for the snow to stop for an hour or two...there are some very heavy returns on the other side of that dry slot however so still, naively, keeping the faith

    100% agree. It’s one thing for us to model hug, it’s quite another to see professional Mets do it...

    So true. I think this is why the 21” at KBUF that happened in ‘07 was the largest synoptic total mainly because it’s so damn difficult to get good storm tracks here.

    The 12-18 is just west of me...Dev that should be you? It is snowing almost heavy rates but the flake size is killing it

    Ok my bad it’s snowing moderately very tiny flake structure about 1.5” so far roads are completely covered

    I’m starting think the QPF is right but with sugar snow we see about 6-8”
