  1. It’s weird how it’s doing that. Once you go east of Danville it’s basically nothing
  2. Nothing really changed. Again once the precip gets close to us it just dries up. According to 18z 3K NAM you have to go to Danville to get any snow. Low in Maine must be pretty strong because whatever moisture tries to get us just dries up. I will say though the radar looks nothing like what the NAM depicts it should look like. Probably doesn’t mean much but we’ll see
  3. Yes. That low in Maine is crushing it, literally
  4. Precip field just hits a wall and fades once it gets to about about the VA/NC border on most models now
  5. I agree. It looks better on radar now than what the models have but we’ll see how the precip field shapes up when it gets here
  6. Waiting to see what the 12z suite says before I give up. The 12z 3K NAM says no though, maybe a quick burst of snow. Seems like that once the precip reaches our area it just wants to fade away
  7. Agree. If it’s still showing that on the 00z run then I’ll start to get a little excited
  8. Wakefield is usually very conservative when calling for snow here. It’s odd that the short range models want to bring us snow but the ops keep saying no. Well see which one is right
  9. Haha the NAM is an improvement but no way the system is going to dump close to a foot of snow. I like the trends however.
  10. Latest RGEM brings more snow to the area. No idea what’s going to happen Friday
  11. Yeah I’m still not getting excited about it. Both the 00z GFS and EURO ops are still saying no
  12. How accurate is the SREF at this range? It’s latest running is brining more snow to the area
  13. Agree. Haven’t tossed in the towel yet but it’s getting close.
  14. Thanks for posting. Would be nice to get an inch or two out of it. The ops seem to say no but ensembles keeping some hope alive
  15. I hope so. 12z GFS was the opposite. Really hope we can cash in on this pattern
  16. I agree. I’ve learned a lot on this forum but I’ve also learned that when it comes to snow accumulation it’s very much only my backyard matters. Yeah I remember when I said something about a snow event. I believe we were in the bullseye and then it moved north. I took so much heat for it. “Move north” or “were supposed to get more snow than you”. It’s whatever. I usually just post on this thread
  17. Yeah that thread is pretty much for the DMV area. I get it though. Most of the members are in that area
  18. Thanks for sharing. The threat is there. See if we can get it to go north just a little
  19. Just bumping this. There are some threats there for our area. See if anything comes of them
  20. How wild would that be if Southwest Texas gets more snow than Mid Atlantic does this season
  21. This is definitely one of those what could have been storms
