It isn't over yet things usually bounce back, living in this area surprises do happen. The greatest snowstorm I've ever witnessed Dec 26 2010 was lost on all guidance until the 18z Nam jumped on it Dec 23.
I just hope were due at least a 2-4 with stickage would be like heaven, after these last 2 yrs.
Agree. Not going to give up just yet. Waiting for today’s system to pass. Sometimes the models are very late at catching on. Looks like the short range models are trending colder and wetter for today’s system in the DMV

The way last winter went and this winter has gone so far 1-3 would be a big win sad to say

00z gfs was pretty bad. The para was better for southern VA and northern NC. CMC was weak. Bad trends. Looking more like a light event

Euro solution would make no friends for any region.
Yeah it’s weak sauce

Yeah, they are lining up at the cliff in that thread.
Hoping for WSW criteria snow. Guess we will have to see the impact of tomorrow's system and where the models go from there.
Oh I bet. I haven’t ventured over there yet. I’m hoping for the same. I don’t mind it going south, means more cold air for us but can’t go too far south

South trend happening?

I personally don’t want a rain to snow event. We don’t do well with those. Usually just ends up being a sloppy mess

I liked the 18z Para-GFS. The normal was pretty boring.
I heard the para was a better model. Hope so

Not a bad 12z suite. GEFS was good. Euro looked better than it has been

For my selfish sakes it can stay right where it is. Don’t need it anymore north

18z gefs was unimpressive here

Not worth throwing in the towel or getting too excited until the first storm passes.....
That’s why I’m following that storm even though I know it’s just going to be rain here
-
Agree. Not going throw in the towel just yet off that. However the EPS was south and weak too. It snows, just not that much. If it’s still showing this on the 00z run then I’ll start throwing in the towel

And this is why you can’t get excited this far out. Euro is weak sauce.

But can't help and think we have been here before.
Agree. Again, I’m cautiously optimistic. Been here before the storm either went north or south or went warm

GEM and GEFS looks good

Ha! The 20" plus bullseye looks to be over DT's house in Chester.
Yeah, history suggests this thing starts to shift north as we hear are more chattier DC folks state, "right where we want it" this far out.
Oh yeah. They are clinging onto that

Really would like to cash in on the Wednesday/Thursday system. Next Monday’s system looks like another cold rain event
