18z Gfs big time fz rain event Southern NC , then turns into a big snow storm for eastern NC

You will not believe this but I live 2 miles west of hWY 1 and 7 miles north of 74. The cut off line is always close in these storms. Long way to go but at least we have something to watch for now.

Northern NC and S Va do really well in these type of storms. I’ve seen my share of 35 and rain while about Sanford north has fz rain. I just need to move if I ever want to be in the game.

Looks like snow breaks out for most of NC then turns back to raging ice storm on last frame if I’m looking correctly

I would not sat rarity. RDU average is 4 inches per year. I think people are frustrated because many of us have had very little the last two winters going on 3.

I live 70 miles southwest of you and my only hope is a southern slider . I doubt we can get cold down here. It’s frustrating

Around hour 250 or so Gfs really starts to show the cold locking in.

Whining thread more active than any other thread lol. I told myself last night no model watching for 2 days. Woke up and checked out the 6z Gfs. I’m a total weenie but can’t find the hot dogs or the bun. #cliffdriving. Late January 26th to 30th will save us lol

I agree . I think we struggle for next 10 days or so but at least with the cold air showing up there is some hope. That’s all I got lol.

Thanks for understanding men. I’ve been a Lurker but trying to learn a bit more than the past. Part of it is my frustration with trying to understand. No hard feels toward anyone. My fault for the post
