Seeing as we only had a trace here in Winston last night, sign me up for a half inch with initial WAA band Sat night if it manifests. Don’t care if all rain Sunday. 

Model mayhem inside 36-48 hours. Fun times. 

Moved from DC to Winston 3 years ago. Had many solid busts up there. This is first nice busto here. NW Winston near Wake campus and nothing. Couple bouts of moderate flakes no accumulation. Appreciate all the Mets I follow, no ones fault. 

I would call it a moderate flurry right now with little sleet mixed in. Breezy.

Here in Winston feeling that pre-snow/mix event deal where it feels warmer than couple hours ago. Prob no meteorology in there but maybe air less dry?

Personal goal IMBY still stands at 2-3”. Just some fun snow TV and maybe catch a death band. See some nice rates. 

Triad is NW Piedmont as defined by Raleigh NWS if I remember correctly. 

I’d settle for just 1-2 inches around here and seeing it fall during the day. Small victories. 

If we could get any kind of mood flakes Christmas Eve or Day - that's a win in my book.

For those in NC Triad, local met Tim Buckley was talking about model trends depicting a moderate sleet band in the 11a-2p timeframe?

Is all this precip so far just part of the over-running?

Seeing the back edge already near the TN/NC border...could it re-blossom to the NW with coastal transfer?

Down to 33 here - SW Winston.  Light to moderate snow, visibility slightly better.  Radar looks a bit lighter upstream to the WSW.

Only sticking to grass, trees, car tops so far.

Moderate snow now in Winston - visibility dropped noticeably.
