    From a huge storm on the global models to nothing here in less than 12 hours and only 48 hours out. Going to be hard to trust the models at all outside 24 hours after this one. This is a Falcons against the Pats in the Super Bowl level of collapse.

    Looks like the NAM is keeping the precip even further east this time.

    Yeah, but the models started cutting totals drastically even from Raleigh east from just last night and early this morning to midday.

    HRRR gives us some hope. Hope the NAM goes back west with the precip.

    Funny how they start hyping things when the models start going south. Meanwhile, Greg Fishel posted on Facebook a few minutes ago we might not even see that much precipitation now.

    I'll take 3 to 5 inches of snow. But man seeing the models go so far south today just 48 hours out is a real buzzkill.

    It started out with the higher totals way NW and then keeps moving them further SE. Garbage. And the other globals weren't any better. Heck, even the short range models looked good until this morning.

    This was the GFS last night. This was the Euro this morning. Can't even have confidence in these outside 48 hours. That's terrible.

    And once again as soon as the local mets start honking 48 hours out the models start decreasing totals.

    Maybe we should be ashamed of looking at the globals. They have been horrible with the totals just 3 days out. Yesterday they were great, and today 2 days out they keep shrinking.

    Wow, wheels have fallen off just 48 hours out. The Euro run this morning was awesome. The runs last night were pretty much great for all the models. This is really going to cause people to lose confidence with the globals.
