Wow. Presuming you have a winter place there and not full time. I was stunned that solid places within 3 miles of 7 Springs rentb for just $800 per month even in the winter.
cost of housing and commercial space is really low compared to DC even with the resorts do close by
I do own a home here that I use and also rent to people via Airbnb, etc. I work in Arlington, and although would love to live in Snowshoe, jobs are very low paying. Average full time salary in Snowshoe is $25-35k a year. Not many jobs available off the resort either.

Nothing this weekend but next weekend is the Ballhooter concert. Forecast looks warm and wet untill they close for the season in a few weeks. Most of this will be gone in a week, unfortunately. Some non-snowmaking capable trails never opened this season.

About 10-11" in Snowshoe. Snow stopped around 1 am. Had off and on heavy snow squalls throughout the day then constant snowfall from 3 pm. Probably last snowfall of the season. Never had snowpack for longer than 5 days this season, unfortunately. Village cleanup had started.

Where exactly is that? Might be looking for a condo out that way if I can find something reasonable.
In the Village at Snowshoe. Prices are literally from $25,000-$1 million depending on what you want on the mountain.

Seriously guys, just buy a condo in Snowshoe. They literally range from $25,000 to whatever you want to spend. It will change any snow lover's life. Plus, I can guide you in case you want a little bit of income during the ski season. Next purchase will be the Tug Hill.....

9° in Snowshoe. Blowing snow like it's going out of style. They need it for next week's rain.

I split my time in Snowshoe and in Arlington. My day job is a Firefighter, and with my schedule, I am able to live in Snowshoe part-time. I also have a rental that I manage here as well. The drive is 4 hours but it's worth it to get my 'snow fix'. Plus, summer here is amazing. Usually 75 with a nice breeze....
