is the snow less real without a winter storm warning?
Lol. Yes! Heck, I'm just happy there is snow in December.

Thinking we can hit 10" in Snowshoe, still with a Winter Weather Advisory. Never saw a WWA issued for amounts up to 8", as they did yesterday. Plus it was within a 6-8 hour period.

I’m thinking 2 feet by Friday for Snowshoe.
Euro definitely cut totals for the Wednesday storm here. Wait and see i guess. Unfortunately, no upslope after low passes Wednesday.

Starting to wonder if we get more out here tomorrow than on Wednesday. Looking pretty juicy.
Thinking the same thing. Just got to Snowshoe for the week. We don’t do too well with a coastal but combined storms should be nice.

Ah yes... that final turn at snowshoe. You see that and realize you’re there. (I don’t like the car ride...)
Try that turn with snow falling...lol. If you have traction control on your AWD/4WD, turn it OFF! You need the momentum, regardless if wheels are spinning. Trust me....learned the hard way.

Yes, that is what I call the 'back way' in. Coming from the east up from Cass. Last time I was thru there in the Monte they were working on 66, cutting back the rocks on those two sharp turns.
66 is back to being opened. All rocks been cut back!
Yeah, from DC, gotta go through Cass. Most do come from the other side since a lot of visitors are coming from the south.

Not sure if this was posted but pretty cool, in depth synopsis of the latest Nor'Easter and why many didn't get what was forecasted.

Are they making snow too?
They are but delayed the opening until Dec 4. Unfortunate, but this pattern suck.

We've gotten 3.1" here so far from a few monster squalls.
4" in Snowshoe but they already delayed opening day, unfortunately.

Front just came through Snowshoe with some very gusty winds. Light snow now falling. Last chance for them to make snow in order to open Thanksgiving.

23° in Snowshoe before a warm-up. Hoping for the first significant snowfall tonight.

You all do 24/48 in Arlington?
Actually a 9 day 'work week' where we work a total of 3-24 hour shifts, then off 4 days in a row. This is the time I come to Snowshoe. Comes out to 53 hours/week.

This is the only way to get snow yearly, in person. It's affordable too. $50k can get you a condo. 4 hours from DC
